Wine Tour de France, with Cheese and Meat
[Public sessions in English] This experience takes place in a typical wine bar, not far from le Louvre and the Opera. It is made private for the group (the evening crowd coming later). We hop on a Tour de France of wine, with 6 wines (white and red) being served. All are from small or reputed producers. We go beyond Bordeaux and cover different regions, different grapes / blends and different styles. These are wines you should expect really every time in restaurants and shops. Food is included: a selection of traditional cheese, charcuterie and French baguette. We first learn to use all our senses to think about wine and perceive various styles which we trace to grape varietals, regions and winemakers. If you want to share your thoughts on the wines, your participation is encouraged. Questions are welcome too. We don’t just talk about the wines and regions but a lot of practical advice is discussed too. 1) How to decipher a label 2) The concept of geographic denomination 3) Pairing food and wine 4) The price of wine and recommendations to buy or order wine We even debunk some myths about wine (e.g. NO! most cheeses don't go well with red wine). This experience is suited for wine enthusiasts who want to learn more about French wine, as well as those who simply enjoy a glass once in a while. It is great for groups too.

Bake and have your own macaroons fun
I show to travelers, children and adults how to make homemade marzipan from my own personal recipe. A bowl of equal part ingredients is prepared for each participant. For that method that everyone can succeed their macaroons shells, I teach them how to do the Italian meringue. That's a little bit technical but it works well and it takes not much time. Of course I also explain the other option with French meringue. All the tricks are explained in order to help people to success doing the experience again at home. Ones the marzipan paste obtained, very brilliant after macaronnage, I show how to use the piping bag to fill it without wasting. It's very elementary! Now comes the moment when you have to train or poach this dough. I make an example at first on round templates and then I show them how to make drawings on each hull, with a double socket smaller. This step is funny and pleases a lot because travelers can then customize their macaroons. According to the quality of work, they make 12 to 15 macaroons each, which they can carry in a box arranged for this use. During cooking, I show them the making of a raspberry ganache, which they will have to put in their macaroons. Beverages and gluten-free specialties are served for the happiness of all. Other things to note Not to be allergic to almonds
