Three Sisters Sea Kayaking Day Tour
Let me take you kayaking on the world's biggest tides, on the Bay of Fundy. We will paddle in the spectacularly scenic and remote Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Geopark, where North America once separated from Africa, and the evidence is still visible in the cliffs today: Lava flows, fossils, colourful rock formations steeped in indigenous storytelling, and arches to paddle through. A highlight of the tour are the Three Sisters rock spires, which we will kayak through while I take photographic memories to take home. We will stop at a remote beach that used to be one of the busiest shipyards along the Fundy shore during the age of sail. Today, it is a heaven of serenity, where we might find remnants of the past in an old horseshoe or parts of the historic wharf once the tide recedes. Here, we might see a bald eagle fly over, hear kingfishers chatter and see curious seals poke their heads out of the Bay. We settle down on driftwood for a home-made meal fresh from my organic garden. Upon paddling back, the tide will be well into the ebb, so areas where we previously paddled through are now sitting high and dry - an incredible sight. The paddling time both ways is about 1.5 hrs, with an hour for the picnic. I will provide all the gear needed, food, photos and instructions on how to paddle and steer the kayaks, and am a certified kayaking guide.

Clay-time on a Pottery Wheel with Photos and Video
Have you always wanted to try a pottery wheel? Great! Now you can finally get your hands muddy in this 2 hour session. Join me and make pottery in a fully equipped artist studio and have a few photos and a short video to remind you of how amazing it is to play in the mud! Learn to throw clay on a real pottery wheel. Explore shapes, textures, and discover the many steps of making pottery. I can coach you on every step or just give you clay if you prefer to simply explore, in my large, 2nd floor, art studio. Aprons and crocs are available to use but be aware that mud will get on your clothing so it is best not to wear your fanciest outfit! White clay washes out of most fabrics but colors don't wash out well so dress accordingly. There is a space to sit, drink tea, and chat if you finish early or need to wait for a drive. This experience is great for one-on-one or up to 4 people can book together as private group or a team-building activity. Each person will have use of one of 4 pottery wheels. No sharing is necessary! I’ve studied pottery and painting in Europe and Canada, and first studied pottery in 2001 from a master potter in the Netherlands. After various careers in music, computers, and charity work, pottery kept calling me back. I have finally opened a pottery studio to explore the joy of clay, the healing power of art, and to share this experience with others.
