Condo in Bend
*Cottage on the River with Fireplace, Heated floors and Steam Room*
'Hot Dam' is what we call this absolutely stunning river level cottage which is situated right in the heart of Bend! Up to three guests can stay here, on a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin size sleeper sofa in the living room. Walk in and be immediately greeted with floor to ceiling windows surrounding almost the entire cottage, showing off the absolutely stunning river views from all angles! Feel free to keep the blinds open because these windows are tinted on the outside for privacy - you will be able to take in the views of outside but outside won't be able to take in the views of you! Heated tile floors with river rock detailing run throughout the condo, except for the bedroom which has plush, comfy carpeting, ensuring your feet will never feel anything but comfort while in this cottage. In the living room, you will find one of two flat screen TVs in the condo for catching up on your favorite shows as well as a gas fireplace to really take the comfort level up a notch! The fireplace can be viewed from the bedroom as well, and there's even a switch to control it right beside the bed so you can turn it off if it gets too toasty, without even getting out of bed! Whether you truly enjoy cooking or find it just a means to an end, this kitchen has it all. It is well equipped with plenty of custom built storage and everything you might need to whip up some of your favorites meals. Make use of the extra gadgets in this kitchen such as a tortilla press, blender, crockpot and more! The luxorious bathroom has a double vanity sink with 'movie star' lighting surrounding the two mirrors. The best part of this bathroom is the walk in shower that is almost large enough to be considered a small room of its own- and it doubles as a steam room! Toss in your favorite scented shower bomb and you basically have a mini-spa right here in your rental! 'Hot Dam' is one of just a few condos in our rental pool that has it's own washer and dryer right in the unit! We also have a coin operated laundry room on-site if you happen to want to do a couple of loads of laundry at one time. Glass doors open from both the living room and bedroom onto a serene riverfront patio where you can peacefully sit for hours with your coffee or tea and enjoy the Deschutes River Trail and all of the sounds of nature that accompany it. The cottage itself is spectacular but even more so is the unbeatable location. Bring your fishing rods because you are just steps away from the Deschutes River! Not into fishing? Pack up a picnic and take it next door to Pioneer Park where your dog can run to it's hearts content! Once you're ready to hit the town, follow the Deschutes River Trail which is just a 10-15 minute walk directly into downtown! This property also comes with the use of our indoor heated pool and hot tub! You are welcome to bring up to 2 of your furry friends with you on your trip! There is a pet fee of $55.95 per pet with a maximum of 2 pets that will be requested through Airbnb after your stay has been booked.

Your guide to Bend

Introduction

Bend is arguably Oregon’s capital of outdoor sports, a four-season base for a host of activities. Hundreds of miles of hiking and single-track mountain bike trails weave around Central Oregon, and the Deschutes River flowing through Bend is filled with paddleboards and kayaks. When the snows arrive, the snowboards and snowshoes emerge, many of them headed up Mt. Bachelor. Increasingly, this fast-growing city offers more urbane pleasures as well. The Old Mill District, a former sawmill, has been turned into a complex of shops and cafes. And Bend is home to more than two dozen, from tiny brewpubs to major brands, attracting beer lovers who have no intention of hitting the trail.

When is the best time to stay in a vacation rental in Bend?

Every story you’ve heard about rainy Oregon? They don’t apply to Bend, located in the state’s high desert. This part of Central Oregon receives fewer than 12 inches of rain a year, plus another two feet of snow in wintertime, and sunny days outnumber cloudy ones.

Bend has four distinct seasons. From June through September, temperatures in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit are common, while the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn are more likely to be cool, with days in the 40s and nights dropping down to the 20s. Temperatures frequently drop below freezing between November and March, and the slopes are covered in dry powder. Oregon may be the most casual state in the nation, so pack seasonally appropriate activewear and don’t worry about dressing up.

What are the top things to do in Bend?

Tumalo Falls

Viewing this spectacular 97-foot cascade, located 14 miles outside Bend, is only one reason to hike along Tumalo Creek. Many hikers use the falls as a starting point for four-to-eight-mile loops that wend past smaller but equally scenic waterfalls.

Mount Bachelor

Snowboarders and skiers from all over the West make pilgrimages to Bend for Mt. Bachelor’s 101 runs, which range in skill level from novice to expert. In the summer, mountain bikers take the same lifts up to fly along trails that descend through the trees.

Whitewater Park

Surfing in the middle of Bend? When the city parks department created a whitewater play area on the Deschutes River in 2015, short-board surfers flocked to its Green Wave feature. You can also rent an inner tube or a raft (plus lifejackets) for a leisurely two-mile float through the center of town. The bravest rafters can steer through the rocky, fast-flowing whitewater channel — dodging surfboards, of course.
