Picturesque cottage in the heart of Somerset

Our cottage, set in the grounds of our home, is close to the cities of Bath and Wells as well as Bristol airport, Castle Cary station, Glastonbury, Bath and West show, Babington House and several schools including Downside, All Hallows , Wells Cathedral and Millfield . We are situated on the edge of the Mendip hills just a walk away. The cottage is full of character and laid out over three floors. My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).

The Bolthole is a cute & quirky little space in quaint Bowlish, 10 minutes from Wells and Pilton. It’s a great base for a cosy weekend getaway. Stargaze with the outdoor fire burning and, weather permitting, breakfast Al fresco in this peaceful elevated spot. It’s a lovely place to stay and explore Somerset's known and hidden gems, pubs & beautiful countryside. We're a friendly, busy family (3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat). The bolthole is self check in but we are happy to help if you need us.

Sitting in the Mendip foothills, minutes from Wells and an easy drive to Bath, The Sheep Shack is a cosy, quirky barn conversion. It's a great base for a weekend getaway to explore and experience Somerset's known and hidden gems, pubs and beautiful countryside. We're a friendly and busy family (3 young kids, 2 dogs & 1 cat) & although The Sheep Shack is more an extension of our family home than a 5* hotel, we would love to host you in our 'Airbnb' home from home bolthole.
