We'll visit 2 of our favorite cenotes and one hacienda (historical building) on ​​this day of Mayan jungle adventure & probably (hopefully) we'll have them just to ourselves (depending on the season and the day) or at least we won't find a crowd in them. The first cenote is a cavern one, with sapphire blue water (not cold) from where we will appreciate to the bottom of it (it may vary in raining season). Dive into the refreshing waters of Yucatan's cenotes. Take your own eyes to the magic of light and water that are the cenotes of the Mayan world. Join me in this experience filled with learning about nature, snorkeling, fun, amazing experiences and photos. We will start our day with a road trip to the town of Pixyah, Yucatan located an hour and a half from the city of Merida, we will visit two cenotes in the same area with enough time for us to enjoy and learn in each of the two. After spending the whole day enjoying these magical places, a family from the community will do us the favor of opening their home to us for a magnificent meal, undoubtedly a unique experience. we will talk about the culture of the region history and geography of the place. History walking tour at colonial Mérida
We'll walk in Merida's downtown (between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group) to know a little bit of Yucatan's histroy, where we'll stop to talk about the events that took place in the different historical points included in the tour. I'll happily do my best to answer all your questions concerning to the subject of the tour or any other that you may have. We'll join the downtown's life, so be prepared to walk and enjoy. Mérida Market Tour, Yucatan Cooking Class and Lunch
This is the perfect cooking class for those who want to go to a small but special market (where many of Mérida top restaurant chefs shop), learn about local ingredients, and pick out the ripest, most flavorful and most rare.. Ever heard of Zapote, Mamey, Achiote? We will explain all about them and let you taste so much more.. Then back to the beautiful colonial style hotel for hands on chopping, slicing and mixing. This is the time to test the chef with questions like: "what is the secret of a good guacamole?" or "what is the difference between tequila and mescal?", "Can I have a Xtabentum?" Ai ! we forgot the buy the Chaya, no problem we will harvest it fresh out of the garden. Meanwhile the panuchos, brazo de reina, cochinita, guacamole, sopa de lima or other food gets close to be ready, Metzin, our charming hostess, took some pictures of you doing all the hard work in the kitchen.
