In this oportunity we do our own Coffee Farm Experience.We gonna take you to the montains behind bogota to the really local town of choachi. From there we'll drive a few minutes more untill we get to our organic coffee farm, there we'll meet local farmers and with them we have a traditional colombian breackfast, also we'll talk about what it means to be an organic coffee farm and the daily tasks of a farmer. Latter we take our cocos for pick coffee, we get inside the plantation and we learn about the coffee in a organic farm. We'll walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants, we'll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it; also depending of the season may we cant collect coffee but we will rousted coffe them in a really native and artisanal way. We go under the local fruits trees, the idea is to feel the coffee culture pretty close and discover the colombian coffee world. We'll process the coffee and end drinking more coffee in a diferent way of preparation, we go to te town just for eat the best traditional lunch and in the way back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. Guatapé tour and private boat ride
We will head to one of the most colorful and charming towns in Antioquia: Guatapé. On the way to the town, we will enjoy a traditional Colombian breakfast. Then, we will pass through El Peñol, where we will be able to observe the post-conciliar architecture of its church, until we reach the Replica of the old Peñol. There, we will have the opportunity to admire the colonial style of its houses and enjoy a majestic view over the dam. Next, we will visit one of the most attractive tourist spots in Colombia: the Piedra del Peñol. We will have one hour to climb the 742 steps which lead to the summit of the monolith and see the impressive 360º view of the surrounding landscape (20.000 COP fee to climb the Rock is not included). At 12:00 pm we will have a typical lunch in the area. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a relaxing boat trip through the dam, from which we will be able to contemplate several important buildings of the region ; all accompanied by a local guide. At 3:00 pm we will visit Guatapé, known for its decorative tiles adorning the lower facade of its houses. An experienced guide will show us its most emblematic places and culture and then you will be able to explore it on your own. Finca Tradicional - Milking & Horses
We will set off from your hotel-hostel at 5:30am in a comfy SUV, then we head to San Antonio de Pardo which is a Medellin countryside district 40 min away. Our destination is a private farm which has been named as one of the city lungs by the city council due to his fenomenal green corridor. When we get there we will have a delicious brekky made by locals with organic ingredients from the region. Followed by this, at 7:15am we will start our way to the cow's paddock to interact with this extraordinary animals and learn about the milking process with the locals responsible guidance. Finishing this activity, we head back to the farm to have some coffee and hang around the farm while i get the horses ready. You will get an introduction about some necessary principles you need to know before riding a horse. As soon everything is done we start our ride to the mountain at 9:30am; we will pass by numerous pine tress where you can see different types of birds and the wonderful landscape before we reach the peak. (This can be swap for trekking if you prefer) We will set up a picnic area where we can have a unique local dish, while our horses rest and we admire the view with Medellin in the background. Then we ride the horses back to the farm, rest a bit with a cup of coffee and head back to your hotel-hostel (Midday).

When you come we will start at a beautiful home-museum from the 18 century where I will tell you why this Hacienda has been so important in this community for the past 170 years. Then I will take you in to the nature through the coffee plantation and explain what makes Colombian Coffee so special where you will plant your own coffee tree. I will show you from scratch how to do it and as well how to harvest. Experience birdwatching while we walk along the coffee plantation with amazing views of the city and the mountains.
