Hey Captain - Social Sailing
This is our "Hidden gems" tour where we will show our own favorite spots, which are off the beaten track from the standard path. Expect to get an introduction to areas we think are cool, local, and where you get a great a sense of what the life in Copenhagen is all about. We will either take a southern route or Northern route depending on what is going on in the harbor at your specific departure day. The harbor in Copenhagen is undergoing rapid change, from an industrial harbor to recreational space open to everyone living in the city. During the summer months it acts as the main nerve binding the city together and attracting numerous water-based activities in the process. You will see how this is folds out with Kayaks passing by and happy Danes jumping into the water. We will point out our favorite places and hidden gems, whether you are looking a place for having an afternoon beer in the sun, a relaxed morning coffee, or simply and area to relax away from it all. As we explore the upcoming areas away from the inner part of the city you will see how former industrial buildings are being transformed into new spaces and how Copenhagen is evolving as a city. Other things to note Please be ready 10 min before We have a convertible roof for our boats we use for rainy and cold days, but nevertheless dress according to the weather. They are the up-and-coming areas in Copenhagen, and with a number of recent urban transformations taking place, we can trace the rise (and difficulties) of welfare in Danish society. This neighbourhood features lots of interesting new architecture, public spaces and emerging cultural and commercial activities, small creative businesses, entrepreneurs, – and of course hipsters. The area also embodies the rise of the Danish welfare society since the early 20th century, featuring many social housing schemes, cooperative industries, and working-class and immigration history. We’ll take short rides between many stops with explanations and discussions about buildings, spaces, places, neighbourhoods, people, culture and more. We’ll adapt the route and speed to everyone in the group as best possible. Unless you are bringing your own bikes, we’ll provide high-quality bikes as well as optional helmets and bottled water to bring. Other things to note: Copenhageners are not afraid of water, so in case of rain, we'll go through with the tour. We'll try as best possible to make stops out of the rain, and we might decide to take a break at a café.

Taste craft beer at a nano brewery

The Kierkegaard experience
Experience the city that brought us Søren Kierkegaard You don’t need to be a philosopher to join this tour. If you enjoy a good story or just want to learn about Copenhagen’s history, this is the tour for you. The philosopher Søren Kierkegaard is one of the strangest figures Copenhagen has seen, and is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds to come out of this city as well as being a world-renowned philosopher! Born and raised in the capital, Kierkegaard (1813-1855) felt most at home walking the streets he knew better than most, talking to vendors, craftsmen and the ordinary people. On this walking tour through Copenhagen, you'll get the story of Kierkegaard's childhood, his growing up, his faith and philosophy (just a little), his struggles, mistakes and not least his unrequited love for Regine – to whom he dedicated his life’s work. The Copenhagen that Kierkegaard knew was quite different from today. With no sewerage, thousands of cows, pigs and horses, hundreds of thousands of rats – Copenhagen was known as one of the dirtiest cities in Europe. And yet it was: “Big enough to be a major city, small enough that there is no market price on human beings.” Other things to note Please note: the meeting place is NYTORV - and NOT Kongens Nytorv. :-)
The hunt for the six Forgotten Giants
The artist, Thomas Dambo built 6 giants out of recycled wood, hidden by forests, lakes, and hilltops in selected places to bring the art outside the walls of the museums and into nature in the West of Copenhagen.  I'll pick you up from our gathering location in Copenhagen where we will give you an introduction to get to know your host and other attendees. We will drive for about 25 minutes to reach our destination. This trip will take you out of the city center where we will walk and drive through beautiful nature and observe all kinds of hidden gems along the way, as we visit the 6 Forgotten Giants: 1) Sleeping Louis 2) Hilltop Trine 3) Oscar Under The Bridge Here we will take a short coffee break, before continuing our adventure. 4) Thomas on the Mountain 5) Little Tilde 6) Teddy Friendly These giants are located in different areas filled with beautiful scenery, friendly and interactive wildlife, and countless opportunities for amazing photos. You will leave with a unique experience, new friends, photos, and memories for the rest of your life. The only requirements for this experience are the ability to walk, an adventurous spirit, and an appreciation for art and nature. Other things to note: Bring water, good walking shoes, and clothes for the unpredictable danish weather.
