Baixa, or downtown Lisbon is one of the most special and unique neighborhood. Our apartment is located in a building from the XVIII, in the heart of Lisbon, on the beginning of São Cristóvão area. The downtown of Lisbon was rebuilt, after the, big, earthquake of 1755. This was Europe's first great example of neoclassical design and urban planning, and one of the finest European architectural achievements of the age. Baixa is a great place to stay, because it is central to all major sights and attractions, with excellent transport facilities and close to shops, restaurants, cafes and some museums. The apartment is on the 1rd floor, without lift, and its renovation works were completed on April of 2014. We retained the majority of the features of the original house, adding a modern and practical décor. It’s cozy and charming apartment, with 50 square meters, that includes one bedroom with a double bed, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room with a sofa that turns to two single beds. The kitchen has all the usual appliances and utensils. Towels and bed linen are included. The apartment is suitable for 4 persons, although the two single beds are on the living room. Located near a lot of attractions of the city, like Rossio square (200 meters), Santa Justa elevator, Comércio Square our house is at, walking distance from Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama and the Castle. Served by a lot of public transportation and 5 minutes away from the subway station of Rossio, our house has a convenient location.
