This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. Local amenities are available in Croftamie, including a pub renowned for its delicious food and a number of small shops. About the local area The surrounding area is well known for its pretty villages and excellent choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities can be found within a three mile radius of the property. The area is also renowned for its abundance of walking and cycling trails - the perfect way to unwind and to immerse oneself in this most scenic of Scottish regions. Loch Lomond, one of the great lochs of Scotland, is only 7 miles away at Balmaha. A variety of boat trips across and around this majestic stretch of water are available and it is also possible to hire a boat/kayak or buy a fishing permit for the day. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park offers plenty of hill walking, ranging from a brisk ramble to more serious Munro "bagging". Golfers are also well catered for as there are numerous golf courses in the area. Balloch (just 9 miles from the property) is the home to the National Park Gateway Centre and the Loch Lomaond Shores and a Sea- life centre. Stirlingshire has a number of historic sites - Stirling Castle for example - and all within easy reach. By way of change of scene, it is possible to catch a train from Milngavie to the great city of Glasgow and its wonderful choice of amenities; its retail facilities are second to none and its cultural facilities enjoy an international reputation. River Cottage is a detached riverside property located in the quiet village of Croftamie on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. The open plan living space has two large sofas (one being a sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to four adults). The kitchen area is fully fitted with table and chairs for dining. Local amenities are available in Croftamie, including a pub renowned for its delicious food and a number of small shops. Preferred lets are Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am on a self catering basis, however if you wish to enquire about any dates/times outwith this or a short break then please contact me and I will try to accommodate you if I can.
