Dong-Gang Dong-Long Temple is a beloved temple which was founded in 1706. It has become one of the most popular temples in Taiwan, and is reckoned with the traditional ritual called "Ying-Wang" (Wangye Worshipping Ceremony).

Dapeng Bay is in fact a bag-shaped lagoon. Below the bridge is the lagoon's only outlet to the seas. The bridge was designed to be an "opening" bridge. It can go up 75 degrees, with a 20 meters gap. The "bridge-opening shows" have been must-sees among holiday visitors.

The Flower Vase Rock is the most salient landmark of Little Liuqiu. It is a coral-limestone approximately nine meters high. This coral rock has a large head and a narrow body due to sea erosion. With the tip of the rock covered with wild plants like headache trees and turpeth, the rock looks like a vase full of flowers, giving it its name.

Located in Kenting National Park, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium is Taiwan's largest marine ecology display center. It was selected as one of Asia's top five aquariums in 2014 and 2015. Indeed, it is a must-see.

Sheding Nature Park is Kenting’s most diverse observatory, in terms of geology, and plant and animal ecology. The park is equipped with a few simple paths, scenic platforms and explanatory signs, to retain its pristine appearance. Its east section is now a Formosan sika deer conservation area as part of the park administration’s conservation work.

Dapeng Bay Marine Festival shows the many faces of the bay. Yachting, sail-boating and canoeing are all held at the bay’s lagoon. In the bayside park, arts and cultural performances take place at night. You won’t want to miss this at the Dapeng Bay Marina in April and May!

The Bluefin Tuna Cultural Festival was launched by the Pingtung County Government in 2001, combining Donggang’s bluefin tuna and tourism on the Hengchun Peninsula. It now attracts a large number of visitors in May every year, lured not just by the tuna, but by other tourism resources of Donggang and its excellent seafood. Come to Donggang fish markets to witness the amazing moment.

Pole climbing is a folk custom that takes place during Ghost Festival every year and has a history of several hundred years. It has become one of Taiwan's main Ghost Festival events, attracting thousands of spectators and creating a grand spectacle each year during the “Hungry Ghost month”, around the month of August or September.

The Wangye Worshipping Ceremony has been a historic cultural and religious event for over 300 years. 2021 happens to be the ceremonial year of this triennial event. Starting on 24 October 2021, the 8-day ceremony launches in the Dong Long Temple in Dongang, Pingtung. The original purpose of the ceremony was to keep evil energy and diseases away. Today, it has become a ritual to pray for peace. It is not only a tradition that unites people in Dongang together, but also a registered National Cultural Heritage ceremony in Taiwan.

Pingtung Nativer was created by a group of people born in the 80s at the foot of Dawu Mountain in Pingtung.
