Delhi's Forest to the Walled City Walk
Delhi's green lung is a sprawling, less explored, city forest area in New Delhi. It is spread over an area of 783 acres. It is one of the most thickly wooded areas of the city's green lungs and is home to several species of birds and wildlife. We shall be stopping by at the viewing tower that offers a 360 degrees view of the lush green expanse. Witness some spectacular aerial views of the green canopy The forest is brimming with herbs and medicinal plants that are often used in our ancient Indian Ayurveda medicine. Learn interesting details about some of them as we navigate the trail. We shall explore the ruins of the Lal Kot wall that dates back to 731 AD and enjoy the refreshing views of the famous Qutub Minar, Adham Khan's Tomb and the green canopy of the vast forest. Thereafter we make our way to the adjoining Mehrauli village that was a part of the ancient walled city. Explore the lanes of the busy bazaar and taste some freshly cooked, delicious local fare that is a hallmark of Delhi's famous street food. The walk combines nature, culture and heritage and gives you a unique perspective to the city of New Delhi Other things to note We take utmost care for safety and security of the guest and ensure that the guest is comfortable and well looked after. Our walks are safe, informative, interactive and enjoyable.

I will share with you the backstory of each wall art descriptively that will leave you awestruck completely :) Our experience would be divided into 3 parts: Part 1 : Exploring Singaporean Lane & its 10 wall murals understanding their back stories + a walk through a hidden lane that has some controversial poetic quotes written behind a factory wall of about 50 feet long Part 2 : An insider visit to Delhi's first Ice Cream store to see how it looks like & will then enjoy some of most delectable Indian ice creams! Part 3 : Seeing preparation of a gala South Indian meal of four to five dishes & feasting on it! Taste, Texture & Flavors of Old Delhi
Over 3 and a half hours, we will experience life in this very beautiful & fascinating part of the city and visit several food-joints that you won't find in typical guidebooks! We'll start with the famous sugar dripping Jalebis and an insight into how they're made. Then we'll navigate our way through the quaint narrow lanes to reach a long-forgotten 17'th century 'Haveli' (Mansion) ruined but still reminiscing the Mughal era. Now we'll enter into the most colourful & buzziest 'Bazaar' of Old Delhi to visit a 90-years-old shop dedicated exclusively to 'Khurchan' (a mouth-watering dessert prepared from fresh buffalo's milk). After a little exploration of the beautiful Bazaar, we'll taste different varieties of Parathas in the famous 'Parathe Wali Gali'. Now it's time to involve ourselves in the community kitchen of an ancient Sikh Gurudwara after which we will explore Asia's largest spice market and taste a combination of the best 'Chole Bhature' (a famous North Indian dish) and 'Lassi' (buttermilk) prepared in Old Delhi. We'll experience the tranquility offered by a quick stroll in the Fatehpuri Masjid after the craziness of Chandni Chowk and at last visit, a secret rooftop with the best panoramic views of the area & click some marvelous photos. The exquisite flavor of the food and delicate aroma of the spices will surely blow away your mind! Other things to note Please arrange your transportation to the meeting point i.e. Lal Quila Metro Station (Gate No.1). The best way to reach here is by Delhi Metro's Violet Line, (on which you can easily get on from Kashmere Gate or Central Secretariat Station) or Uber. Please be on time for the experience :)
