Outstanding cottage by famous Múlafossur waterfall

'Spógvasmáttan' is named after the bird 'Spógvi' that lives in the Gásadalur valley. It was built in the spring of 2021 and it has a slightly different layout to the cottages 'Tjaldurssmáttan' and 'Lundasmáttan'. While the cottage is small and cosy it comfortably houses up to four people - with room for up to six people. You will have private access to the entire cottage. The final road leading to the cottage is fairly rocky, but it is possible to reach your final destination by car - free parking spots are outside the cottage. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each room containing 2 single beds each. There is also a sofabed in the downstairs livingroom that can be turned into a comfortable double bed. Included in the package deal are wifi, bed sheets, towels and kitchen and bathroom essentials. There is unfortunately not yet a washer dryer on the premises. Please let us know if you are in need of a toddler's highchair and/or baby crib. We request bookings of minimum two nights and there is a 675DKK cleaning fee on top of the total amount. There is a guest book in the cottage that will give you further information about the cottage as well as different tips for traveling on the island Vágar.

This idea has nurtured and maturing for several years. We started building these four houses in january '17 and they will be finish in march '18 The old Faroese houses are agreeabel to the overall Faroese landscape, and we therfore naturally targeted this ancient construction/building method. The ground floor: kitchen and living room in one. End a bathroom. Top floor: one master bedroom, intended for two grown-ups and an additonal open space aple to sleep two additional grown-ups. The view from the house is regarded among the very best in the Faroe Islands. Privat room! Gásadalsgarðurin is a modern sheepfarm. The guesthouse Hjalgrímsstova has 4 double private bedrooms. Schared kitchen, two livingrooms, and two bathrooms. The slaughterhouse works as a cafe until arround late aug. In mid October it's used for it's purpose. Guests who stay at Gásadalsgarðurin at that time can join the process. The cafe serves local Faroese food. This is as authentic as it gets. This village has the most photographed waterfall "Múlafossur" in the Faroe Islands.
