This gorgeous, renovated 2 bedroom cottage (circa 1920) is in the quiet country town of Gunning, 45 minutes drive north of Canberra and just off the Hume Highway. The cottage is fully self-contained, private and features slow combustion wood heater (wood supplied) and a kitchen with all amenities, including a dishwasher. The bathroom contains shower and bath. The laundry has toilet, washtub, washing machine and dryer. Both bedrooms have French doors opening onto the covered front verandah.

The old Gunning butcher's shop. Beautiful high ceilings, lots of rustic charm. A good simple place to stay. Kids more than welcome, but there is probably only room for 1, possibly 2, small kids. Under cover parking for a small SUV or sedan (please see image for place to park your vehicle). You can also park out the front on Warrataw street but please keep the two house driveways free. There is a blue tooth sound bar set up now in front of the TV to stream your music onto.

We live on 25 acres, overlooking a lovely valley. Guest rooms are spacious and comfy, Room 1/Queen, Room 2/ is 2 x king singles .Price is per room , per night (inc b/fast). For 4 guests, just book for 3 to get price, same if 2 guests but you want both rooms. We only book both rooms for people travelling together.The guest lounge/dining area has TV,DVD, books /games and Wi-fi. Gary's hobby is astronomy and is happy to show you the night sky, if you are interested.
