Originally built in the early 1841 alongside Little Antietam Creek by the original spring house. Built by Samuel Rinehart, it was then purchased by J. Shifler in 1853 and after the Civil War G. Shifler assumed it from his parents, moving it to this present location. The main house offers breathtaking sunrises and star-filled nights that can be enjoyed from the fire pit area porches.
