Tour Austin's Best Street Art
We are excited to be outside and showing you around one of the top 25 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World! If you enjoy street art and graffiti or know nothing about it, you will LOVE this highly rated tour. Discover parts of East Austin that never made it into a guidebook on the ever-changing street art scene. Whether you're looking for great photo ops, art history, or the inside scoop on local living in Austin, this street art tour will touch on all of these subjects. Together, we'll explore one of Austin's largest concentrations of public art. Reviews of this well curated tour focus on the tour guide's knowledge and passion of the artists and their artwork. By the end of the walk, we guarantee you'll know more about Austin's public art than most local residents, and you'll never look at murals, street art, or graffiti the same way again. Other things to note: If you want a tour outside of the times listed, we offer private tours that start at $350. This is a family-friendly tour and is for anyone who can meander at a walking pace! There are frequent stops and we end at a coffee shop. It is a linear tour and doesn't return to the start.
Bats & Skyscrapers on Segways, oh my
It's bat season y'all! That's right, one of Austin's most popular attractions from Mar - Oct is watching our Mexican free-tail bat population take flight each night. This Segway experience is the perfect activity for transitioning from day to night in Austin and we'll get as close as you want to view the bats as the finale. Segway training takes place before dark then we'll cruise to some key vantage points for watching the sun set on Austin's amazing skyscrapers. As the city comes to life, we will fill you with interesting facts and quirky details about why almost 27 million people visit Austin each year. Cruising down the 2nd St. shopping district is a highlight of this trip, making a visit to Willie Nelson's bronze, life-size statue. TIME PERMITTING: A stop can be made to go inside Austin's newly built Central Public Library: a state-of-the-art facility and a true testament to our city's creative & technological environment. Because the bats are in fact wild, live creatures, some elements of nature beyond my control can, from time to time, affect their flight. Some are heavy/recent rains, high winds, cold temps, too bright or too loud conditions due to construction or a nearby concert. This may cause less bats to take flight or they may come out later (outside of the experience window). These circumstances are rare, but must be understood.
Kayak to a Secret Island Downtown
There is a cool secret island in downtown Austin and to find it you'll need me and a boat! We'll kayak over to the island and explore it. We can hammock, play games, have a picnic, swing, etc before continuing our kayak. There is even a good bridge jump nearby! Out of all of my tours, this one is the most chill and because its early in the day it's a good way to meet other travelers and adventure out with them after the tour. Making friends on this trip is easy and its a good way to let others help you plan the rest of your day! Special arrangements: I am flexible to host this anytime. If you don't see a scheduled time that works for you and you have 3 people ready to go, just message me and see if we can work something out! View my IG: @boatsandbats but message me here please. FYI, the IG account shows photos of all of my tours, not just this one, so you'll see a mix of photos. As a bonus, I've created a google doc with my top recommendations on how to spend the rest of your stay in Austin. You get the link to it automatically as soon as you book! So book now and let it help shape your Austin trip! Other things to note We will be kayaking so its best to wear shorts / a swimsuit and sandals. Bring a drink or snack to enjoy on the island. I'll take photos and send them to you so just relax and enjoy the trip!

Austin Unlocked- A Speakeasy Tour
Go on a walking, cocktail tasting, tour of downtown Austin! We'll stop and talk about several hidden-face speakeasy style bars - some stashed inside parking garages, behind bookshelves, down alley ways, pass-code and password protected, and private clubs! We'll get you into three where we can order drinks! Meet downtown and we'll sit and chat for a few minutes at introducing ourselves and what it means to call a bar a speakeasy in Austin, TX. Then, we walk to the first bar. All the bars are located downtown within a few blocks of each other. We'll spend 30-45 minutes in each of three bars, having drinks, learning about the place, and appreciating the aesthetic. Throughout the night we will continue on past a total of seven hidden-face speakeasy style bars, stopping in some and just stopping to talk about others. The night ends once you get into the third and final bar and get your drinks ordered. We do not to include drinks to give you a lower price and more choice. We will have a group tab which can be paid for via cash, Apple Pay and Cash App. Prices vary by venue but $15-25 per drink (including a 20% tip) is a good ballpark.

Go Tubing in Austin’s Spring Water
You're in town for 2 days. Why waste 4 hours on a hot bus when you can tube the spring river near downtown Austin and make the most out of the rest of your day? Book this tube float trip and maximize your stay. Here are the main benefits of booking this trip. We are floating near downtown Austin so less time on the road and you're definitely not sharing a bus with 50 other people. The river is slow and relaxing. No rapids. For the adventure seekers there is a bridge jump and plenty of rope swings. The springs make an excellent swimming hole. When the trip is over there is still plenty of fun to have without a tube and no bus to catch so you can hangout longer at Zilker Park or Barton Springs or in the river you just tubed! There is what I can only describe as "Party Island" at the end of the float which is a sand bar where hundreds of people hangout in the middle of the river on the weekends. This trip is nice because you can make it what you want from family friendly to Bachelor's in Paradise. For me this is the best tubing experience in the area because the section we float is "The Real heart and soul of Austin" I am the #1 experience host in Austin with several other tours including the "Kayaking with the Bats" trip which has over a thousand reviews. When you book with me, my auto reply comes with a "must do in Austin list" so you can make the most of your trip!
Breweries, BBQ and Vineyard Tour
We will all meet at Cosmic Coffee and Biergarten (121 Pickle Road, Austin Texas) and take a few moments to have a drink and get to know eachother. From there, we will hop in my 15 passenger van and leave busy downtown Austin behind, and head out to beautiful Hill Country. This event is great for groups, great for team-building, great for teams, so ask me about Private Bookings! If trip is sold out, ask if I can fit you in. Once out of town we will Visit the world-famous Salt Lick to fill up on delicious Texas BBQ and Vineyard. Please note that the tour price does not include any alcohol at the Breweries, HOWEVER Salt Lick is BYO, and I will be bringing a fully stocked cooler for you to enjoy. It is recommended that you bring $35 or so for BBQ at Salt lick. You will not be disappointed! Salt Lick does have a Vineyard on-site, but it does not serve alcohol on Sundays until 12:00 PM. After Salt Lick, we will head to Jester King Brewery, which is one of my favorites! Jester King is a brewery, kitchen, farm & event hall on a beautiful 165 acre ranch in the Texas Hill Country. It is breathtakingly beautiful, and a perfect place to enjoy some local brews.
Giant Paddleboard at Sunset w/ Bats!
This is the best way to experience the bats hands down. The journey on the 5-6 person giant paddle board starts with epic downtown views during the day, continues with the sunset, then observing the 1.5 million bats fly out and ends the night paddling back after dark in the city glow. July 2022 UPDATE: The bats are the best they've been in 10 years right now. Don't miss this trip. Booking this tour for the sunset and bats puts you along side Austin's #1 experience "kayaking w/ the bats" only you're on a board! Its the same trip just a different vessel. I also host daytime paddles using the same boards so message me if you want to take a custom trip on the boards to a secret island or the springs Don't let the word "Paddleboard" fool you. This is 15 feet long and 4.5 feet wide. It is ultra stable. You will not get wet unless you choose to go for a swim. You can sit down, stand up, or even lay down. It's impossible to fall into the water on accident. It takes 2 people to paddle a giant board so single travelers may be asked to join another group. The mega paddle boards make for an excellent family or group option cause you get to stay together and share the experience. As a bonus, as soon as you book, my auto-reply welcome message has my personal guidebook to Austin that can help you plan the rest of your Austin vacation.! View my IG: @boatsandbats

Hike to Secret Cave w/library and view of Austin skyline
Austin is such a beautiful place coupled with mysterious but magical hidden gems. This is one of them. As we settle into our hiking adventure, we will take a moment to be fully present and be grateful to spend time with mother nature. We will go down through a beautiful trail where you will be able to spot fossils or even deer if you're feeling lucky that day. Then we will climb over to a secret cave that has a library and offers one of the most amazing skyline views of downtown Austin. Before we make our way back, we will stop by an animal sanctuary where we will be able to see different types of animals like owls, reptiles, and bobcats. You are more than welcome to bring your journal, meditate, or just appreciate the stillness of being surrounded by nature and its living creatures.
Random Acts of Kindness Spree
We will convene at rotating eclectic, unique, and beautiful locations in and around Austin for a meet-and-greet and "pow-wow" to present the assignment. We will then explore the area on foot, committing alternating random acts of kindness and social experiments from a list that's provided. Guests will conduct a series of specific acts but with plenty of their own judgment and imaginations engaged too. These acts will involve sightseeing like a local in a vibrant pocket of Austin while learning how others tick and truly making an unsuspecting soul's day over and over. For social experiments, guests may be asked to step into an elevator without turning around to face the front and then to note the reactions of the public. For random acts, they may be finding someone who needs a hand/compliment, paying a cup of coffee forward, etc. In the end, guests won't be able to help but grin from ear to ear after having witnessed, participated in, and created a multitude of special moments invoking insights about the human psyche, deep gratitude, and "warm fuzzies." We celebrate at an enchanting café, sharing stories and enjoying the afterglow. Other things to note We accommodate everyone. This activity is family and dog friendly. Enjoy a discount on our other experiences in Texas cities after you have completed this experience. Questions welcomed!
Vintage Film Camera Photo Walk
We will meet in a beautiful greenspace that is located steps away from the iconic Colorado River that runs through the center of Austin. Guests will gather while we hand out their film camera (Canon AE-1) that comes with a stylish strap, attached lens cap, and a roll of film. We will introduce ourselves, get to know each other, and the guests will receive a basic lesson on shooting film. Once everyone feels comfortable with their camera and it's functions, we will then begin our stroll that will take us alongside the river, across two incredibly scenic bridges, through a park, and back to the greenspace we first met. On the walk, I will be a tour guide informing them about what they are seeing and will give fun facts, history, and background at each "photo op" stop. The guests will be guided to take shots of the beautiful scenery and fill their camera roll with stunning images. My partner (a camera expert) will be amongst the group answering questions, solving technical issues, and teaching the guests more about film photography and how to nail that perfectly exposed shot. At the end of the walk, we will collect their rolls of film and their information and send them digital scans of their epic photos via email.
