Forge a Silver Ring with a Silversmith
At this time, I am requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated *and boosted* against COVID-19 by the time of their workshop and to provide proof of vaccination. In this workshop, you'll make a sterling silver ring through the silversmithing "fabrication" technique. Learn the basics of texturing metal, forming metal with mandrels and hammers, soldering (yes, you'll play with fire!), and decorative finishing and leave with a beautiful handmade ring that will last a lifetime! This is not just some craft project. You will be working on the same tools that I use myself as a professional silversmith and your ring will be professional quality. It's always a fun evening! You'll be floored by what you can create! Other things to note: You will get plenty of ideas for rings during the class. I also encourage you to look at the photos in this experience as well as guest photos for ideas!
Explore Dazzling Architecture Interiors of the Chicago Loop
Take the architecture tour voted #1 by TripAdvisor users! We will be taking a leisurely 2-hour walk exploring some of the most beautiful and often overlooked buildings in downtown Chicago, both outside and inside, and learning about the most important and interesting parts of Chicago's architectural history. Visitors often don't know where to go, or even where they're allowed. This experience takes them inside places they'd never even consider, to show off more than 100 years of architecture as it developed here in the Windy City -- including stunning stained glass, atrium-like spaces, 19th century skyscrapers, and more! Great tour for photographers and travel buffs! Some things to note: Bring a camera -- this is an AWESOME way to practice your architecture photography! Also, dress for the weather, and if it's raining, bring an umbrella. Also, please note that if you provide a non-US phone number as your day-of contact number, we **CANNOT** call you if you're lost or late!

Chicago Food Tour- Deep Roots to Deep Dish
City in a garden. Culinary paradise. From hot dogs to haute cuisine, this walking tour of the Loop is for all foodies and anyone wishing to get to know Chicago through their stomach! The Loop is the perfect spot to experience this fast-growing food scene, where locals lunch while enjoying the city’s architecture or dining under city lights that illuminate the nearby Chicago River at night. It’s the vendors and their passion for food that we’ll focus on in this neighborhood: you’ll come to appreciate the melting pot that the city has truly become, giving us the opportunity to enjoy recipes lovingly honed by generations of immigrants. Italian, German, Polish…you’ll be amazed to discover the cultural depth behind otherwise ordinary (and tasty) Chicago staples! While your local guide will treat you to some decadent deep dish pizza and other classic Chicago favorites, they might also share a seasonal offering with the freshest ingredients, perhaps even sourced by local farms. If there’s any room for more, we’ll top off your tour with a sweet snack and send you off with more recommendations for where to eat, drink, and play in this incredible city!

Explore hidden bars in Chicago
Chicago offers a lot of hidden bars for night owls. We will start the night at my favorite hidden gem in West Loop, we will spend about one hour here then head to the next bar which is an 8 minute walk. Some of the bars have secret entrances so be ready for a fun night. The bars have amazing cocktails, beers, non-alcoholic drinks, good music and a good ambiance. There are plenty of secret bars and unfortunately we cannot explore all of them in one night. However, I will share with you the location of other secret bars which you can visit later. Please be advised that drinks or food are NOT included. This is not prohibition level speakeasy tour, this is a chill bar hopping experience. I was not born in the early 1900s and don’t know anything about prohibition so don’t ask. Have a drink and relax. Please note the experience time says it lasts 3 hours but you are welcomed to stay at the bars as long as you like. If your preferred hour is fully booked, don't worry, bar fits a fair amount of people, send me a message. There are still some locations that may ask for your proof of vaccination to access the bars. Please bring it with you. A photo of your vaccination card is fine.

I'm very familiar with these trails and chose the Eddy Discovery Center because of the varied terrain, diverse flora, unique photogenic locations, and many opportunities to see wildlife. Other things to note Please wear waterproof shoes and weather-appropriate clothes, we will be outside for 3 hours.

Baking French Pastry Canelés de Bordeaux
We Nothing causes smiles quite like a multi-layered French pastry! Guests will learn to bake finicky canelés, a sugary siren hailing from Bordeaux, France. Full of vanilla beans and rum, the batter is let to rest for two days before baking in a mysterious copper mold coated in an amalgam of bee's wax and clarified butter. Notoriously hard to make and easy to burn, we'll enjoy the final stage of making and eating canelés. Guests will taste a freshly baked batch, and also prepare a batter. The canelé sports a moist, custard-like center and a crisp and toasty cookie-like exterior. This class will demystify this pretentious dessert item for the everyday home baker with a tiny bit of after-market modification of a home oven by adding a 20lb steel plate. If you have a bee allergy, this event should be avoided. If you don't see a date listed that fits your schedule, feel free to reach out and we'll see what we can do to create an event. The pastry is also known as a canele or cannele or simply delicious. Reach out for additional dates for private group events.
