The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km.) Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn and Alkmaar are never far away (5-30 min. by car).

We are located in Purmerend, a great base for anyone who wants to explore the best tourist attractions of the Netherlands. We’re within 30 minutes reach from the capital city Amsterdam, the typical Dutch village Zaanse Schans, fisherman’s village Volendam, cheese villages Edam & Alkmaar and picturesque Marken. All with the convenience of free parking. Be careful, Purmerend is a town near Amsterdam and not Amsterdam itself. Also, know you're booking a room in a shared house not the house itself.

Romantic guesthouse looking out over meadows, very large back porch. Endless view, amazing sunsets. Nature area with birds. In the middle of the North Holland province. 20-30 minute drive (depending on traffic) to Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Zaandam. Closer are lovely old towns Edam, Volendam and Marken. Deluxe kitchen, garden, free parking, excellent wifi. We prefer to host families or people with (some) reviews. No bachelor parties, no group of friends wanting to party.
