Roast & learn everything about coffee
Come and discover what it takes to make a cup of coffee as you journey through the scenic views the coffee farm has to offer. Your tour guide will explain everything about the growing and processing of coffee. He will show you the seedling beds, the fermentation tanks and drying beds. Thereafter he will take you through the process of roasting of the coffee beans. Here, you will get to roast your own batch of coffee and take it as your souvenir. Finally you will have a cup of coffee and snacks at the rooftop with a view of the farm. Other things to note Bring your own camera, comfortable walking shoes ( preferably sports shoes) , a hat and arrange for transportation to the venue.
Kibera Creative Arts Visit
1. We will meet at Prestige Mall at Ngong Rd. in front of the supermarket’s entrance. 2. Then we will do a walking tour to multiple iconic spots so that you can capture the essence of Kibera through your lens (the famous Kibera railway, Kibera panoramic view, Kimungu bridge, Laini Saba grounds and finally we will walk through Biashara street until Undugu junction) while listening to Kibera’s history and story of Kibera Creative Arts. 3. After we will grab a boda boda/tuk tuk (local vehicle) to where the organization is based 4. Once we arrive you will visit our music studio where you will be able to engange in any of its activities (produce, record, mix etc.) 5. After visiting the studio we will go for lunch at one of our local restaurants to experience delicious local food (pilau, ugali, dengu, minji, madondo chapati). 6. Finally we will visit our creative workshop where you will meet some of the artists from the various disciplines supported by Kibera Creative Arts. You will also be able to make use of our photo studio if you wish. 7. You will be able to grab another boda boda/tuk tuk back to Prestige Mall to end the visit where we started. Nature walk at the karura forest
Welcome to the karura forest experience.our hike will begin at 10 am where we will take a walk through beautiful nature trails and lush landscape of the forest. as we take our nature walk,we will have a one of a kind view of various wildlife such as different breeds of birds and girrafes until we reach point A. Discover and soak into cool waterfall pools in Central Kenya
Scenic Waterfall swim tour. Hidden in the scenic valleys of Kiambu county are some beautiful waterfalls yet to be discovered by many as they are slightly off the normal tourist's path. The drive is 1 hour 20minutes from the main city, we will pick you up at your location within the city. Thereafter we will embark on an eye catching drive in the lush Kiambu county with scenic views of tea farms. There shall be short walks to access the waterfalls once we arrive but this is however NOT a hiking trip. It's an opportunity to connect with nature, swim and shower in the natural pools by the waterfalls and breath crisp fresh air. For this tour, we will visit 2 waterfalls with breaks in between. At the end of the waterfalls visit, we shall spend some time with a local Kikuyu family in the village where you will organically interact with them and hear folklore of the areas history, a local meal with them can be arranged on request. Our first rest stop will be at the rift valley view point for a scenic view of the floor and volcanic features formed within the great rift. We'll then proceed and arrive at Nakuru town for and head to the park for a midmorning game drive. The drive is awesome as the park is scenic and we'll be able to spot lot's of amazing wildlife on their day to day wild mood. The park is a beautiful scenery and also home to 4 of the big 5 After an exciting excursion at Lake Nakuru, we'll head back to Nairobi with arriving at around 6pm
Explore Nairobi National Park
Leaving MAIN GATE before Dawn, we'll gamedrive through the Park down to the Athi Dam for a picnic breakfast/brunch. I will show you lions or the Park's iconic Browse rhinos.... From our picnic spot we shall drive back to East Gate across the High Plains, seeing all the creatures that you would expect to find in a rich African savannah. Nairobi National Park's small size is more than made up for by it's incredible Biodiversity: we have more bird species than the entire British Isles! . Nairobi National Park Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel / residence/ a Airbnb unit in Nairobi. As you all know Nairobi National Park is unique as the only protected area in the world with such a huge variety of animals and birds close to the capital city. A short drive out of the Nairobi central business district is the Nairobi National park which host a variety of wildlife including both white and the black rhinos, lions ,hyenas, Hippos, antelopes, buffalos, Zebras, Elands etc. The pick up time is preferably 6:00am (if you will be ready) so that we make it to the park before sunrise for some amazing sightings when animals are still active. At the park, we will proceed to register at the main entrance to obtain tickets/gate passes: which is $43 per person non resident adults and $22 for the kids below 18 years which is Paid via cards(debit/credit) - not inclusive on the package! The total time is approximately 4-5 hours inclusive of stopovers - then later on after the Tour we will drop you back at either the pick up location that is your hotel /residence or any place of your choice within the City. N/B - For Guests with long layovers in Nairobi, this can be your deal breaker as well, we can pick you up from the Airport and drop you back after an exclusive adventure Tour for you to connect with your onward flight in good time. Tour Nairobi's iconic public libraries
We will begin the tour in the eastern part of the city at the Eastlands Library in Makadara, which was opened in the late 1970s. Here, we will explore current collections and use, with an emphasis on our plans for arts-based programming and events in 2022 After that, we will visit the newly restored Kaloleni Library. Kaloleni was built by Italian prisoners of war in the 1940s. Here, we will walk around the neighbourhood, explore Kenyan history-making in the adjacent Kaloleni Social Hall where Kenya's first parliamentary election results were announced in 1963. Finally, we will make our way back to the McMillan Memorial Library located on Banda street, in the heart of the city centre. Here we will explore historical collections dating back to the early 1900s and share some of the restorative work we're doing on the collection itself.
