Tour the Colorful Chiang Rai Temples
The main attraction of this tour is the White Temple. If you’re looking for ancient ruins, you might be surprised to find a modern architectural masterpiece designed and built by local artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat. The Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten literally translates to ‘temple of the dancing tiger.’ It was built on a site where tigers were said to have jumped over the river. If the White Temple was meant to be a stairway to heaven, the Black House has been called a “dark, mysterious, and almost sadistic” representation of hell, complete with preserved animals and a collection of bones. Built by Thailand national artist Thawan Duchanee (who incidentally was the mentor of Chaloemchai, the White Temple guy), the Baan dam Museum (Black House) is a cluster of nearly 40 small shadowy structures exhibiting art dating back to the Ayutthaya period. This is truly something the likes of which we’ll never see anywhere else! Other things to note IMPORTANT: IF AVAILABLE, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS BEFORE COMPLETING THE PAYMENT. Free pick-up from central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Provincel. Otherwise, the designated meeting point is the Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City.

Authentic Sak Yant Tattoo by Monk
We will meet in Chiang Mai city and go to a rural temple where the monk will apply your chosen Sak Yant and perform a spiritual blessing. When we arrive at the temple, that is where I truly come into my own by explaining and translating. The monks speak very little English. They are normally only doing Sak Yant on monks and Thai people. The monk will usually ask which design you are thinking of getting. If you have not yet decided, he will ask you some questions in order to help find the design that best suits you. Every Sak Yant have different meanings and blessings, and not all are suitable for everyone. I will be there to explain and guide you. When your design is settled on, the monk will perform a Sak Yant ceremony and start the tattoo for you. After the final blessing ceremony, we will have some time to talk to the monk and ask any questions you may have Please be noted that the price is for a small size Sak Yant - for example, the Hah Taew, if you are seeking a large or very detailed design then would cost more. *Please message me your preferred time, we can plan the time that works best for you. And of course, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me* :)

Nor can you skip the tea and tamarind leaf salads brought in during the 2 centuries of Burmese rule We’ll also visit Chiang Mai’s Chinatown where you’ll try herby nam ngiaw noodles and other local snacks.
