It is a great place to visit with the picturesque canal walk where beautiful Thames Barges can often be seen, the Sea Wall walk past the lake Nature Reserve into Maldon or to the Marina. There are good pubs and the famous Tiptree Tee Rooms at the Sea Lock. The owners have built a lovely decking to enjoy the peaceful views across the garden and over the Lake. Perhaps book a trip on one of the Historic Thames Barges.

Welcome to our 1860 “The Wash House” perfectly located within walking distance to the River Chelmer and Maldon Promenade, great for walkers, paddle boarders… With own parking space set at the end of a private lane The Wash House is separate from the main house. There is a good size bathroom with walk-in shower, well equipped kitchen and cosy seating area. The bed deck is accessed by a ladder and is not suitable for the less able. The bed is a small 4ft double so the space is cosy and unique.
