You are right off the beach so it can get humid at times. Like all houses in Venice Beach, it does not have air-conditioning so if you are accustomed to keeping the windows closed and staying inside the house your entire vacation blasting the air-condition please do not book this home. The house is located in the Venice Beach Silver Triangle, one of the the nicest and most prestigious beach communities. There is plenty of street parking and driveway parking is also availability for you to enjoy during your stay. The Venice Beach house is an iconic and tasteful retreat that stays true to its beach design of yesteryear, through the years it has housed artists, actors, celebrates, producers, families, lovers, friends dreamers and explorers. The house was built in 1950 and has a lot of character and classic elegance. These house has an incredible charm about it and we have tried to keep it as original as possible to create the perfect escape in a beach atmosphere. Homes in the Venice Beach Area do not have Air Conditions, because of the comfortable and relaxing ocean breeze since 1950 people have opened the windows and embraced the ocean breeze. If you are used to keeping windows closed and staying indoor to recycled air-conditioning you may want to consider staying at a modern day hotel like Lowes or the Ritz. ================= Below are a few popular attractions that we love to share with our guests! 1. We hope it makes for a great experience during your stay. - To ensure we keep the floorboards squeaky clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a no shoes policy inside our home. We like to think of it as bringing the beach to the house (only without the sand!) - The easiest way to disrupt an enjoyable stay is a plumbing problem. To prevent this, we kindly ask you to please place things like sanity napkins in the sanitary bin we’ve provided in the bathroom. We simply want to ensure you have a royal flush kind of stay! - Before you leave please clean up pots, pans, and dishes and place dirty towels in hamper. Please take out main trash prior to checking out. Trash day is on Monday's, we will be around to take out trash cans, if you're staying on this day - it may be a good time to throw out your trash ;) - Quiet Hours: The neighborhood is full of great people and families, please respect the neighbors by keeping noise level down indoors and outdoors between 10pm - 8am. Including music, television, people, etc. Respecting neighbors and the neighborhood is taken seriously, complaints from neighbors will result in 100% loss of deposit and immediate end to reservation with no refund. - Smoking is only allowed outside, please respect your health, our home and neighbors - Please make sure to keep all doors and windows locked. - Reservation is for your group only. At no point are there any additional guests/visitors allowed in the home or on the property without written approval via the AirBnB app before the reservation is made. -We kindly request that EVERY person who needs to be on the property, including outdoor spaces, needs to be on the reservation. This includes non-overnight guests. So if you have 4 people staying overnight and 4 friends visiting - you need to make a reservation for 8. You can add guests up until your check in using the alteration tool. - We have spent a lot of time and love selecting the furniture and designing the look and feel of the Venice Beach House. Most of the furniture and artwork are originals works, collectors’ items and designer pieces treat them with care and respect as many cannot be replicated or replaced. Please be respectful and don’t treat it like a rental car, We love this home and hope you love it too. Be respectful and clean up after yourself and treat the Venice Beach House with love.

Guesthouse in Los Angeles
Canoe Down the Venice Canals from a Historic Guest House
Experience California's answer to Venice, Italy at this country chic guest house with an outdoor deck. Situated on a serene, traffic-free island, this 1928 cottage combines pinewood hardware, bespoke textiles, and the latest modern conveniences. Los Angeles's coastal town of Venice is well known, but few are familiar with the quaint residential neighborhood within Venice known as the Venice Canals Historic District. Built along a series of canals, it's responsible for inspiring the city's name. The picturesque community features upscale and meticulously maintained homes and gardens, many with their own docks and boats. It's fun to walk and gawk, but most visitors don't get to come inside, and anyone interested in paddling the canal has to bring their own boat. However, this special Airbnb find lets you try out living like a local for a few days. The house has all the usual modern comforts, including high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as extras like a jetted tub in the bathroom and a barbecue. But the most fun is visitors' access to the house's private dock and boats, including a canoe, rowboats, and kayaks. All that, and you're also mere blocks from the Pacific and all the shopping, food, culture, and attractions that Venice has in spades. Written about in Business Insider Magazine May 6, 2021 issue as a very special Air bnb in Venice! Our canal cottage is breathtaking. It is on an island, so there is no traffic noise, just ducks quacking in the morning. There are many different birds, sea gulls, egrets and pelicans that hang out in front of the house. Yet, you can walk 1-2 blocks and find yourself on very exciting Venice Beach and Venice Pier. There you can find many lively bars and restaurants. Abbott Kinney Blvd. is just a 10 min. walk. You could live here and never need a car. All is very close. The house sleeps 2 people in a queen size bed. It has all the comforts needed for a luxurious, relaxing visit. Our guests have use of a canoe, rowboat and a kayak for rowing or paddling around the canals. There is a small outdoor deck to sit and view the canal. There are beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs available to use. We have a jetted tub in the travertine bathroom to relax after a long day of sightseeing or beach time . Other amenities are: fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, wireless internet, Smart Roku TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix, and a cozy fireplace. Parking is free nearby, not on property. We live on the property in the front house. We are always available to answer questions about places to go to and great restaurants to enjoy in the neighborhood as well as throughout Los Angeles. We are very friendly and speak Italian, Spanish and English. The neighborhood is very special. We are on one of four islands. They are connected by walk bridges. You will see all types of ducks and wildlife throughout the canals. In the past small beach cottages were occupied by rockers like Jim Morrison of the Doors, Hells Angels bikers, struggling actors and many bohemian types. Now, these cottages sit side by side many larger, multi-million dollar homes occupied by some famous artists, actors, directors and producers. Very eclectic!! It is a real neighborhood where you can relax, surf, bike, skate, boat and walk to everything that is special and never leave the neighborhood. Electric scooters and bikes are everywhere and easy to use around town. If you must leave Uber and Lyft are no more than 2-5 minutes away. There is convenient public transportation to Santa Monica and Downtown Bus# 33 to Los Angeles. We are very close, 20 min, to Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Parking is free and easily found within a block of the house, but not on premises. You can unload your baggage in front of the house and we can direct you to parking. It is never a problem. We look forward to sharing this special place with you. Our guests have use of a kayak, row boat, and a canoe for a romantic row around the canals. Bicycles and electric scooters can be rented on the boardwalk to ride to all the beach communities. There is a small outdoor deck to sit and view the canal. We have a jetted tub in the travertine bathroom to relax after a long day of sightseeing or beach time . Beach chairs, umbrella and towels are available. Other amenities are: fully equipped kitchen, starter coffee, cream and sugar, and tea. All utensils, plates, pots and pans, dishes, etc. are available. Washer, dryer, wireless internet, HD 55”smart TV, Netflix and fireplace. Parking is free and nearby, but not on property. We live on the property in the front house. We are always available to answer questions about places to go to and great restaurants to enjoy in the neighborhood as well as throughout Los Angeles. We are very friendly and speak Italian, Spanish and English. You will feel welcome. As one of the most unique neighborhoods in all of Southern California, the Venice Canals area is within easy walking distance of Venice Beach and Venice Pier. Better still, explore the local area from the comfort of a canoe. We have a canoe, rowboat, and kayak for guest use with our compliments. There is convenient public transportation to Santa Monica. New Metro rail line can now take you from Santa Monica to downtown Los Angeles. We are a very close, 20 minute drive to Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Uber or Lyft are usually close and arrive quickly. Parking is free and easily found within a block of the house, but not on premises.
