We will ride on our bicycles through our hometown making our way to three different cenotes around our community. Physical wear with the bicycles is minimum. We spend most of the time in the water. Riding the bicycles will be, 20-25 mins(total). Distance from cenote to cenote is 5-10 mins. If you are looking for a fancy activity, something fast, big company tours, this is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU. We will meet with a Mayan family in a village. Here you will discover the Mayan culture and cuisine. Discover different exotic ingredients and flavours during our time preparing food together. The Mayan granny abuelita and other ladies will teach you how to make your own tortillas by hand and other ancestral recipes. Depending on availability, PICKUPS from TULUM and also from PLAYA DEL CARMEN or VALLADOLID. In the morning we drive a bit more that 1 hour to one of my favourite colonial cities of the region to visit the local market. I will guide you into the authentic local market with all its colours and tastes. We will have a local breakfast and enjoy fruits and other foodies at the market. After, there is some time to explore the market on your own. To cool off, we will visit a spectacular cenote in our way to the Mayan village. After we go to Mayan traditional house, we will visit an organic garden where they grow exotic vegetables and fruits. We jump into the Mayan kitchen to cook a traditional and delicious meal interacting and learning from the local Mayan women. You will discover and learn many new things about the Mayan life, traditions and customs too. We will eat all together inside the Mayan house. In a beautiful Mexican-style house, surrounded by gardens, our Culinary Experience starts off with a brief, yet quite informative, introduction to the essential flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine We will also do a mezcal tasting so you can learn how to identify a good one! Then, moving on to the unique experience of preparing an authentic Mexican meal from scratch! We try to always use traditional utensils, like metate and molcajete, to have a real cooking experience. Many of the dishes you will learn and help cook come from my own family’s cookbook. By the end of the class, we sit down in one table to share the food and the experience itself! This all happens in an ambiance full of joy, music and laughter, recreating the sense of fellowship and warmth of cooking at home with friends.

I willl take you inside and we will discover fascinating facts about maya culture as we walk trough this beautiful ceremonial place located on the spectacular coastline in the caribbean. We will spend a couple of hours inside the archeological site while i show you around and tell some stories about Mayas in Prehispanic times and Maya people in modern times and how they have integrated into our modern society. The pick up time I recommend is 6:30 am in order to avoid crowds, traffic and above all the heat.After picking you up at the lobby of your airbnb or hotel we will drive 2 hrs to Chichenitzá (wonder of the world) where we will have a 1:30 min guided tour, visiting the temples and main constructions, the mythical ball game (the biggest in the mayanworld), then we will drive 30 minutes to Valladolid where we will have lunch in one of the best restaurant of local food , last stop will be a cenote, where we will be swimming in its refreshing and crystalline waters for 45minutes. We will be back at your hotel around 4 pm that you have time to do other activities in the afternoon.

Cenotes are fresh water holes formed in the limestone thousands of years ago. They are considered sacred for the Mayan culture and even today you can still feel why our ancestors worshipped these beautiful caves. Each cenote has it's charm, all completely different and magical. We will swim, relax and snorkel in the cenotes without any hurry. Life jackets are included in the trip for your comfort. If you have never snorkeled before I will be very glad to help you. Exploring the cenotes will make you feel in another dimension and amaze you with the shades of blue, green and turquoise water. We will pick you up at two eyes, it is perfect if you come as a couple, sol@ or as a group, if you bring a car, you can arrive yourself, it is an unforgettable experience that will allow you to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy a completely relaxed day immersed in the magic of the jungle. On our experience we will cook the most authentic traditional Mayan style pork (not snacks), we start getting to my house where I will show & explain you the ingredients of what we will be using to cook, we seasoning the meat, we will cover it with banana leaves and put it to cook for about 2 & a half hours, meanwhile it cooks we will take our bikes to go snorkel in four different cenotes each very different from the other & part of our community town, there's many cenotes around Tulum but we will visit those that are not comercial & those that just a few locas we know how to get to, after the cenotes exploration we will get back to my house to eat our Mayan style meal that we prepared in the morning, you can make your own tacos & eat many you want. As local Mayans we will love to share part of our culture teaching you how to cook the most authentic Mayan food in the Yucatan peninsula & show very local surroundings to keep you away from the huge commercial & crowded cenotes park. Welcome to the "5 CENOTES JUNGLE TOUR"! Are you willing to escape the crowds?
