Welcome! We made our historic house into a duplex to provide privacy for both ourselves and our guests.

The bnb enjoys the covered porch, and front door entry to a private living space. The bnb includes a comfy den, open kitchen, two dining areas, two queen size bedrooms, and full bath.

As hosts, we use a side entry, and keep to our own adjoining and quietly walled off areas of the house. Our residence includes its own kitchen, bath and living spaces, so the bnb is all yours!

The space
It’s my goal to provide you with as safe, clean and comfortable a stay as possible. This home is 100 yrs old. Deer and foxes come by regularly. The river is close and can be heard when it swells in the spring.

Crestone, Colorado, United States

The neighborhood has no official historic designation but could. This house was started in 1919, and since then has had only three owners. The old schoolhouse (last operating in the 1930’s) is across the street. Five log cabins each over 100 yrs old and largely unrestored are nearby. There is virtually no traffic in spite of being so close to downtown. Nice and quiet.

Originally from Baltimore County, Maryland. I’ve been in Colorado since 1983. I’ve been a carpenter the whole time and was drawn to Crestone as a good place to raise a family in 2000. No Uniform Building Code in Saguache County and the resulting alternative building climate here was a big part of why here. Carpentry can be much more interesting.
I’ve also played a lot of guitar here. We had a five piece Celtic band here for awhile, then I played in a Celtic duo for awhile, solo lately.
The kids have moved on, my wife and I split up, she left a I’ve been lucky to keep the house here. I golf quite a lot, Crestone has a great 9-hole short course, par 31.
