Cottage in Ropley
NEW! 16th Century thatched cottage, Hampshire
This chocolate box 16th Century Grade II listed cottage, the oldest house in the village, is chocca-block full of history. Most famously it was home to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Queen Victoria's right-hand man, who not only christened and crowned the Queen but then went on to marry her to the love of her life, Prince Albert.
Full of the character you'd expect from such an old property yet with just the right degree of up-dating to give you a comfortable stay: the perfect country retreat

Home in Hampshire
Entire cottage in the heart of rural Hampshire.
Dairy Cottage was a former milking parlour.
We stopped milking cows in 1992 and converted the building into a self catering holiday cottage. The cottage is situated between the Cathedral City of Winchester and the market towns of Alton and Petersfield. Nearby is the pretty town of Alresford where the River Arle flows into a lake constructed to provide fishing as well as a reservoir for the River Itchen navigation. There is a lovely short river walk here which we're happy to tell you about.
