Rossnowlagh beach is a popular surf spot and excellent for long walks - the beach extends for miles beyond Rossnowlagh. There is excellent sea angling here also and deep sea angling available in nearby Creevy. Donegal is far enough north for the natural phenomenon, Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights to be seen, occasionally, in the northern sky.
