Your guide to Sea Isle City

All about Sea Isle City

With 130 miles of coastline along the Jersey Shore, Cape May County’s Sea Isle City is one of the more popular destinations, thanks to its wide range of activities. For water sport lovers, there are surfing, kayaking, and parasailing options, while birders can enjoy the wetlands, fishing fans can cast into the waterways, shoppers can browse the many boutiques — and everyone can converge at the outdoor bandshell, which showcases free live entertainment in the summer. And for those looking to explore the entire shore area, to the south, there’s Avalon about four miles away and Stone Harbor nine miles away, while Ocean City is 16 miles to the north.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Sea Isle City

Temperatures in Sea Isle City can range from the upper 20s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit, so it’s essential to plan accordingly when booking one of the area’s vacation rentals. The summer months settle in a mid-60s to mid-80s range, but come with that muggy feeling, making midday temperatures uncomfortable at times (so maybe it’s the perfect time of day to take a dip in the ocean!). In the spring and fall, the range is from the high 40s to the mid-70s, but it tends to feel cold. The winters really bring the chill, with lows in the upper 20s and highs just barely hitting the 50-degree mark. Rainfall averages tend to be fairly consistent throughout the year, with the peak chance of precipitation in August.

Tags can be purchased for the day, week, or season. And if you’re there on a Wednesday, you’re in luck — it’s a free beach day.
