The cottage has a high living room, fireplace, small kitchen, massive wooden sauna with shape boards and shower, dressing room, toilet, sleeping loft and downstairs bedroom, spacious porch and separate wicker. 2 spare mattresses. The cottage is located next to the traditional forest pastures of heifers. The atmospheric characteristic of the place is the occasional heifer bell jingle or heifers arriving to drink on the adjacent shore.

Peace and harmony at Pikkumökki-cottage

Pikkumökki-cottage is a cosy, traditional log cottage with a magnificent view over the lake Saimaa. The cottage has an open common area (livingroom and kitchenette) and a sleeping alcove. Sauna is in the same building with an own entrance. There is no shower, but you wash yourself with a refreshing lakewater. There is no watertoilet, but traditional dry eco toilet in a separate building. A big terrace and a grill for barbeque. There is a small bungalow next to the cottage, with beds for two.

Experience the true traditional Finnish lake cottage life. This log cottage was built in the 1800's with hand carved logs. It is located on a beautiful lake shore with fantastic views. Here you can enjoy nature and total silence and peace just a 10 min. car drive from Savonlinna centre. You have a good chance of spotting the endangered Saimaa ring seal, often swimming in front of the cottage. Both the cottage and the sauna are just a few meters from the lake shore.
