First Fall's Waterfall—Custom Log Cabin on Rock Creek River

Look out on to a peaceful waterfall from this rural escape, built from reclaimed Lodge Pole Pine. Ceilings up to 16 feet high crown complete walls of windows, while the heated floors, feature fireplace, and waterfall shower are all of Idaho quartz. This special place has a special ambiance all of it's own. Designed with immaculate attention to detail, healthy proportions and natural environmentally considered materials throughout. The unique design of the home features 12' - 16' ceilings with walls of windows filling the space with natural light and spaciousness. The stone floors are warm to the touch from the radiant heating beneath and are made from the same Idaho Quartz that was used to construct the unforgettable feature fire place and waterfall shower that makes this property one-of-a-kind. The Master Bedroom: Cozy up with the warmth of the fireplace on a King Size Temperpedic Mattress decorated with fresh top of the line linens and local Pendelton Mill's world famous Chief Joseph blankets. The Master bath adjacent to the room features a one-of-a-kind custom "Waterfall" shower, quartz countertops, his and her copper sinks and plush premium towels. The Living Room: The floor to ceiling windows that overlook the river and private waterfall provide a unique indoor/outdoor feeling and comfortable environment. During the day, open the dual-sliding glass doors leading out to the riverside patio and merge inside with outside living for a refreshing sense of peace and openness. The Piano in the corner is tuned for the musician in you and is even programmable for favourites when you are too busy to play. When the day is done, snuggle up next to a roaring fire with a glass of wine some chocolates and a good book. The Kitchen: Granite countertops and clean appliances make cooking in this chef’s kitchen an absolute joy. Wake up to Nespresso in the morning and tuck into hot chocolate or a soothing glass of Willamette Valley wine at night. The Logs: The lodge pole pine used to construct the building was originally from the Kahneeta Indian Reservation in Central Oregon and was reclaimed from a dead-tree forest that was victim to beetle infestation which left intricate and intriguing markings on the surface of many of the logs. The Property: Situated on Rock Creek River and encompassing 800 feet of naturally landscaped river front property that is home to two uniquely fascinating waterfall falls and a refreshing degree of natural scenic beauty. The property is landscaped with native flowering dogwoods, redwood cedars, quaking aspen, native blueberries, flowering rhododendron and vibrant shrubbery throughout. The security: We have installed two outdoor camera's for your safety and peace of mind. They are located at each of the entrances with one in the driveway and one for the back door. Skamania County: From peace and quiet to outdoor adventure and family fun, the Columbia River Gorge has it all. Seize the day by enjoying some of the many recreational activities and options for a memorable and relaxing retreat. There are plenty of options for outdoor sports like fishing, wind surfing, hiking, white water rafting, hiking and mountain biking to keep you active. Local leisurely relaxation is at it's finest as well with a diverse range of options for wine tasting at local vineyards, spa treatments at the hot springs. If staying close to home is part of the plan feel free to stroll down the river and enjoy swimming and sunbathing around the flat-rocks and swimming holes next to one of the three waterfalls that have made this part of the river one of the best kept secrets for the local community. When the day is done, open a bottle of wine, melt some smores, grab a book from the bookshelf and cozy up to the warmth of a fire indoors or out. The opportunities are endless. Your Accommodation will Include: - Access to the Entire 1800 sq ft Log Cabin Riverfront home on Rock Creek. - Patio overlooking personal waterfall directly next to the property. - A King bed with fresh linens. - Clean bathroom. - Outdoor Hot Tub. - Outdoor Sauna - Towels, toiletries, etc are available as needed (Shampoo, Hairdryer, etc.) - Kitchen and Dining with premium accouterments. - Den (which has the Cable TV, DVD) - Wifi Included. - Full local guidebook upon arrival for traveling needs - Outdoor Patio and dining with BBQ. We're here to help; however we live in Portland and we rarely get to meet our First Fall's Waterfall Log Cabin guests in person. Always feel free to call or email anytime if there is something we can do to improve your stay. Seize the day on the Columbia River Gorge, where white-water rafting, windsurfing, and fishing await. Closer to home, dip into one of the swimming holes and stroll in the landscaped garden. Hike and bike locally, and taste wine at nearby vineyards.
