Ideal quiet getaway for hillwalking, skiing at the Lecht and golf in Alford which has a Transport Museum, swimming pool, Heritage centre and places to eat. It also has a selection of shops and ATM’s. Alford is on a bus route , trains run from Insch, Huntly and Inverurie. Central to whisky trail, castle trail and coastal routes.
