See Boston from an electric bike ("e-bike") in a small group setting! I provide a quality e-bike, bike helmet, and bottle of water. All bikes have hand brakes and gears, so for safety, all riders MUST be comfortable using both. All riders should wear a helmet for safety. We'll adjust and test the bikes for 15-20 minutes, and then we will set out on our ride. Most of our ride is on paved cycle routes with no cars, some of it in the Emerald Necklace Park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, and on the Esplanade along the Charles River. We will cycle along both sides of the river. We can stop for coffee and then ride back through Cambridge and Brookline to Jamaica Plain. There are a few places where we walk the bikes for 2-3 blocks, so guests need to be able to walk a bit. The tour lasts about 3 1/2 hours, depending on how many stops we make and how long we spend at the cafe. This tour will allow you to try an electric bike in a low-stress cycling environment. I hope to see you with the famous "e-bike grin" as you glide along! I can accommodate anyone 16 and over and taller than about 4'8". I can often accommodate different dates and times. New England weather is unpredictable so if the weather conditions are not safe for cycling, I will cancel the tour and you'll receive a full refund.

Guests will be transported from a centrally-located site in San Diego county to the international border in San Ysidro. With a Permit application already completed by host from information provided by guests, crossing the border will be cut from a potential 1 hour to about 10 minutes. Along with a brief historical account and cultural explanation, the experience will include a visit to the Friendship Park, a stroll through historic Revolucion street, as well as a the visit to several iconic areas of the city which will lead to a better understanding of its development. Visitors will also explore a colorful local market, where they will interact with local vendors, learn about, and have the opportunity to sample indigenous foods. The tour will conclude with a visit to a local food court where guests will have the opportunity to savor Tijuana's fusion cuisine, also known as Baja-Med. Finally, they will be driven to the international border, picked up and taken back to the original meeting location in San Diego. The host will escort guests the entire time. You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained birds using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. There will be plenty of time for questions and pictures with our birds. My hope is to send you home with a new, or perhaps renewed, love for these majestic predators and the environment. This unique three-part, 3 hours, walking tour will begin where Manhattan began - at the National Museum of the American Indian. Each part of the tour will last approximately 1 hour. This first leg of the tour will start in Lower Manhattan. Specifically, Bowling Green, where the first enslaved Africans started building the infrastructure of the city, and end at Wall St where the enslaved Africans were brought and sold. The second leg of the tour will start in the Financial District. We will walk up Wall St to Federal Hall - a site next to a famous free African who owned and operated a famous Oyster House in 1825. The last leg will start around the Brooklyn Bridge, including the African Burial Ground National Monument plaza. This tour is great for groups, team-building, field trips, and it's especially beneficial for school-age children. Depending on the mood and convenience of the group we can stop for snacks, at any time. Each location is based on a specific chapter in my book. There will be several restroom breaks. Please note - Finding parking is extremely difficult in Lower Manhattan. Indoor garages will cost between $35-40. I advise using public transportation or car service.

We will teach you how to milk a cow. *At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them. *Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready. *We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with. *Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up. *Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount. *Congrats! Kayaking on the Monterey Bay with otters, seals and sea lions is a once in a lifetime experience. When arriving to our location across the street from the beach you will be offered gear to keep you warm based on the conditions that are ahead of us. After our safety orientation, we hit the water in no more than a group of ten kayakers per guide. We travel along the coast and near the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Fishermans Wharf. What a wonderful opportunity to snuggle the famous Valais Blacknose Sheep, often referred to as "the Cutest Sheep in the World" in person. These sheep have a cult like following all over the world and now they are here in the United States as well! Grateful Acres is part of the Valais Blacknose Sheep breed-up program in North America, and our farm was the very 1st domestic purebred lambs in the USA! During your experience you will be able to meet and pet our lambs and sheep while trying not to fall in love. Last year the first domestic purebred ewe lambs, with little Joanne and Juniper were born and this year we are even more excited to announce the addition of 2 more purebred lambs, Kyrie and Kismet! This experience comes complete with a professional photographer! All photos come free with the experience and are edited and emailed to you electronically within 5 business days by our farm photographer. These pictures are yours to keep and there are no other costs associated, so feel free to use them as you wish. CAUTION: Valais Blacknose Sheep are VERY personable and love attention. They are often referred to as large fluffy dogs, but in sheep form.
