Forest Bathing / Shinrin-Yoku
Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) is a traditional Japanese awareness meditation, proven to be a profound antidote to anxiety, depression, fear and tension. You will be taken upon a simple forest walk, whereupon your guide, Helena, will facilitate and enable a sensual immersive experience, whereby the forest languages of renewal, growth, change and impermanence will become your experiential second nature. You will develop a sense of inner peace and stillness that will be supported and encouraged by nature's living, ever-changing process. Absolutely no experience necessary. The requirements are a willingness to let go of your troubles, fears, worries and anxieties. Other things to note Wear warmer clothes than usual as we will spend time being still in the woods and in the shade of the forest canopy. You may also wish to bring something to sit on during sit spot practice. Great for groups and team building too.
Groom and walk miniature ponies near London
Star the pony and I will meet you at our meeting point where we will carry out introductions and cover safety tips, before we head off for the walk. We will walk up the lane and through the fields, going at the ponies pace and allowing them to browse on the plants in the hedgerows. We’ll also collect cuttings and weeds to take back with us for their pony friends (in season only). You will learn about wild plants and trees and how they benefit the ponies diet, plus more about pony care and behaviour. We will finish the walk back at the pony field where you will brush their coats and manes and tails, while the ponies tuck into their lunch. You will be able to really get to know the ponies as individuals and see their different characters and personalities. With a calm and gentle approach, it won’t take long before they are queuing up for a scratch from you. Other things to note This is a leisurely walk that is perfect for animal lovers. Halnaker tree tunnel and windmill walk
Join me on a leisurely 4-mile walk (lasting 2 to 2.5 hours) through the beautiful Sussex countryside, into the South Downs National Park via an ancient hollow way following in the footsteps of Romans, commoners and a king fleeing for his life! We'll start our walk in a village just a ten-minute drive (20-minute by bus) north of Chichester, passing through vineyards, farmland and a beautiful tunnel of trees. After a short walk uphill, we'll see the restored windmill and have time to admire the 360° views of the Sussex countryside. The Isle of Wight can be seen from here on a clear day. Learn about Boxgrove Man, the oldest human remains ever found in England, a Neolithic settlement and see WWII radio direction-finding structures. Hear local folktales and learn a little Sussex dialect. Depending on the time of year, we may see a range of butterflies and birds, including buzzards and skylarks and, if we are very lucky, we may see some deer. Chichester is the nearest railway station. There is a regular bus service from there to the meeting point. Other things to note: This is an easy walk but it is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties due to several stiles on the route. The route can be very muddy after rain. Alternative times/and dates are possible on request. There are no public toilets in the village. Parking is available at the meeting point.

Goat petting experience
Message for alternative dates and times. Come and meet our small herd of playful pygmy goats. Our 3 original nannies and 5 of their kids from a previous year. And we have recently added 2 super friendly golden guernseys to our herd. The three mummy goats came to us several years ago. The head of the herd is a rather large blonde female, called Tinkerbelle, whose favourite pastime is eating. She believes that she is entitled to all of the food, so it has to be scattered. Second in command, is super friendly Bella, who is the brains behind it all. She’s our very own Houdini and can break out of almost anything, leading the heard to frequent escapes. The others have equally beautiful and unique personalities, and we are sure you will enjoy getting to know them during the experience. Great for groups, group discounts available. The experience will be indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. You will be able to sit down on our floor seating and be jumped on by the babies, or, you can stand and pet them. We will give you a small pot of feed to ensure that the goats are your best friends! We also have several ponies in distant fields and roaming chickens, ducks, rabbits, and guinea pigs, who live within the safety of the farmyard. Please note that this experience is exclusively with the goats. We do have handwashing facilities, but no toilet at this time.
