The Hut was originally built for Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, who enjoyed lunching here during her visits to Balmoral. The property has recently been renovated to a excellent standard and a special effort has been made to honour the history of the Hut and its location on Royal Deeside. The master bedroom features a super king size bed, ensuite W/C and a large freestanding copper tub for soaking in the view out over the loch and hillsides beyond. A cosy second bedroom can accommodate two singles or a super king size bed. With a large window seat for reading or wildlife watching, a dining table for up to 6 people and comfortable seating for playing board games in front of the log-burner, the sitting room provides a perfect place to relax and unwind. The garden is a wilderness of Scots pine woodland where guests can enjoy sightings of red squirrels, woodpeckers and sometimes even an osprey.
