TOURS IN THE LONGEST CAVE OF BUDAPEST
We created this tour to show a very unique place for those who are ready to make efforts off the beaten track! We will visit a natural labyrinth system – a 3 dimensional playground, where we will often have to clamber up steep walls and creep through narrow passages. Prepare yourself for something active!
- We will meet up near the cave (30-45 minutes from the city by bus, still in the residential Budapest)
- You can change your clothes at the changing room, and we will give you the necessary equipment.
- We will spend 2,5-3 hours under the ground. We will discover a small part of a 30 km long multi-level labyrinth system. As the cave is practically a maze with a network of passages, we can always find the path which fits your level of fitness. In means that we can do a relatively easy tour (still challenging), or an „adrenaline-pumping” tour - it’s up to you!
- The tour is very interactive with a friendly atmosphere and English-speaking expert hosts.
- It’s a perfect occasion to meet new people and maybe make new frindships - as there will be situations where cooperation makes your way easier.
- After the tour you can chill at the moody beer terrace of the cave.
Other things to note
This is NOT an outdoor experience, it doesn't depend on the weather. Age limit: 10-55 years. No prior experience of caving needed. It is an active tour so we don't suggest it to very overweight people

Hungarian pasta workshop and dinner
Home made pasta is not only an Italian tradition. Hungarian families in the countryside also made their own pasta using it for delicious dishes: the amazing Hungarian meat soup is made with vermicelli (cérnametélt) and the easy Hungarian pasta with potato and onion is made with a typical quadratic shape pasta.
If you would like to learn more about Hungarian pasta, get to know how to knead, how to shape, join my workshop and I will show you!
We are going to knead pasta dough using flour and eggs then I will show you typical Hungarian shapes. You will learn how to use pasta machine as well. From the pasta dough we are going to shape different variations: vermicelli, tagliatelle and a square pasta for our dinner. After the shaping, I will show how to cook Hungarian potato and onion pasta, which will be served with pickles (the meal is vegetarian). This nice traditional food will be your light dinner.
The other shape you made, you can bring to home.
Hungarian cuisine is more than Goulash or Chicken Paprikash, if you would like to learn it from a local girl, don't hesitate to join my workshop. Hope to see you!
Please note that the experience last 2 hours only in case of big groups (5-10), if I have 1-4 bookings we will be finished in 1,5 hours.

During the program everyone can decorate their own chocolate bar, which you can take home at the end. The chocolate bar is approx. 120 g + freely chosen decoration.
As a last step the program will end with an authentic coffeehouse experience. You will try a traditional hungarian cake the "Dobos cake", and can choose a coffee or hot chocolate besides.

Wine not taste our passion?
"If you live in Rome do what the romans do". If you are in Hungary taste what the locals taste. Did you know that Hungary is considered to be wine drinking nation (rather than beer)? You will have a chance to taste 6 +1 indigenous Hungarian white wines, such as the "Unpronounceable Grape" called Cserszegi fűszeres, Hárslevelű or probably our best known grape Furmint, which is the basic grape of Tokaji Aszú. Among the red you can taste Kékfrankos, Kadarka and Bull's Blood. Besides tasting these wine I will tell you the history of winemaking in Hungary. As a wine journalist and wine judge I know a lot of wine makers in personal. I will also tell some funny stories regarding their wines which we taste. Also do not forget that most of the wines can be only tasted or bought in Michelin star restaurants and top hotels in Budapest.
