This is a 19th century carriage barn converted to a living space. There is a forty foot long skylit loft upstairs. Living room kitchen bathroom and another sleeping space downstairs. The decor is mid century and eclectic. We have cell service and internet, a radio and lots of books. This is a spacious place with a clean uncluttered interior. Lots of room to explore outside . A place to feel free. You must be aware that this is a barn and it is rustic . It is not like the Holiday Inn

Halcottsville is a tiny hamlet In the heart of the Catskills .The porch is a compound with an old general store built in 1890 which is available for rent .We also have a restored barn , gardens and Apple orchard . The Bungalow is super private and still right on Main Street in Halcottsville. We will definitely will share our veggies and fruit with you . We have 3 sheep , 10 chickens and 5 barn cats .Halcottsville has its own post office ,voluntary fire department and a beautiful Lake.

There is reliable, high-speed fiber-optic wifi. There is no TV. Note: In winter (Dec-March at least) you will NEED a vehicle with AWD or 4WD to reach the cabin. The final .75 mile of the drive is a dirt road with a couple of hills that could be difficult for an FWD vehicle to safely get up or down.
