Gurro itself is a twenty minute uphill drive from Cannobio situated on the Lago Maggioro. Cannobio has two Carrefour supermarkets as well as a large lakeside market every Sunday with good restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also larger supermarkets available and a Saturday market in Verbania one hours drive from Gurro and is well worth the visit.

It is detached on the outskirts of the ancient mountain village of Orasso (700m) in a very quiet and sunny location, 15 km uphill from Cannobio on Lake Maggiore. There is a central gas heating, a fast Wi-Fi connection and an extensive library. From the balcony and terrace you have a magnificent view to the south over the valley and the mountains of the Val Grande National Park.
