Sandy Run Creek House "Loving Escape"

Creek-front peaceful getaway that we call ”Loving Escapes,” with lovely water views of Black Creek from elevated screen-enclosed porch/balcony which surrounds 2/3 of the home and has very homey feeling with its inclusions. This outstanding vacation home is close to greater Jacksonville, but it feels like a world apart, and it is located in a picture-perfect wooded rustic setting down a 1/10 mile curving driveway through the woods, which incidentally is security gate coded. Although peacefully secluded, it is only about a mile from downtown Middleburg (Blanding Blvd & CR218) with many restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, fast food, etc. And if you are a veteran, there is an Americana Legion facility a very short distance away - around 3 corners. The bedrooms are (1) a King Master Bedroom with en-suite bath, and (2) a Queen Bedroom both of which feature en-suite baths, and (3) there is also a full-sized convertible sofa bed. Plus (4) there is also space in the great room for an inflatable bed if so needed. Once inside, the modern updated open-concept great room features a fully equipped kitchen (for preparing your own meals with toaster, blender, pots and pans, coffee maker with supplied coffee, spices, etc.). The dining table area will accommodate 6 and even more with additional folding chairs that are available. Additionally, there are 4 stools for eating at the large granite island. There are also very popular multiple seating/conversation areas with chairs and couches in various places. There are a variety of board games for your use - even dominos and backgammon as well as Chinese checkers, Scrabble, cards, etc. The TVs come with Firesticks and Wi-Fi high speed Internet, as well as TV antennas for local channel 4, DABL, TBN and others. You may use the Amazon Prime features or import your own personal Netflix, Sling, ESPN, etc. There is also a cozy electric fireplace and lots of comfortable seats to accommodate a large family both there and in front of the TV. To expand the pleasant open areas, the spacious great room opens up (with sliding glass doors and French doors) to the outside screened porch/balcony which has marvelous water views and is furnished with lounge chairs, platform rockers, outside dining tables, and gas fire pit for romantic conversation time together as couples and or family. The Master Bedroom also has views of the creek through sliding glass doors as well as forest views - both of them from the King bed (with comfortable new mattress). It also features a wall-mounted TV with Wi-Fi and Firestick and Antenna. There are double sinks in the master vanity room with lots of bright mirrors as well as an en-suite master bathroom with a deep tub/shower combination, and even a slow close toilet seat to match the slow close cabinets and drawers throughout the house. There are Echo Dot Alexa devices in the great room and in the Master Bedroom, plus the Alexa voice prompts on the Firesticks. The spacious second bedroom features a new Queen bed with a very comfortable mattress and large closet space, plus room to set up a personal computer. The second bathroom has both an en-suite entry as well as another door for separate access to the bathroom without having to go through the bedroom. Both bathrooms have a very updated feel with tasteful tile both on the floors and in the shower/bath areas plus large bright shiny new mirrors. The home is equipped both with Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors. It also features a very efficient Trane HVAC system as well as a new water heater with good family capacity. There is a Washer and Dryer in the pantry/laundry room (with detergent) and an iron and ironing board in the master vanity closet. Past visitor’s expressed favorite features are: the picturesque driveway to the house; bright clean, peaceful, airy openness from the moment of entry; many pleasant conversation areas; marvelous relaxing views from the extensive porch/balcony areas facing the creel. We will be interested in knowing your favorites! This “Loving Escape” is an ideal place for vacationing, or for traveling nurses or businesspersons, but also even for local people seeking a nearby place to take a break from the everyday while still close enough to maintain normal activities. It also works well for people visiting family or attending major sporting events such as NFL football or golf.
