Produciendo Café en el Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde
When our visitors arrive at the Sanctuary, the first thing we will do is make a small introduction about our family project, we are guardians of 48 hectares of forest since 1999. During the walk to the plantation, we will talk about the history of coffee in the world and Costa Rica, and then explain on the plantation what permaculture consists of and sustainable farming versus monocultures. Also, learning about specialty coffee and the different ways of processing and finish with a visit to the drying area. On the way back you will have a coffee tasting in three different roasts and methods and each participant will learn how to prepare their own coffee in the proper way. In the end you will learn: how to be a more informed and smart buyer, make the most of the product and value the work behind each cup of coffee. Other things to note We are the only specialty organic coffee plantation in Monteverde. During the year coffee goes through different stages, therefore, depending on the season you will see different processes.
Experience Beach Yoga & Meditation
You will begin with slow yoga poses that warm up and stretch the body. We build the class into a dynamic flow infused with mindfulness, breathwork, and optional advanced postures. The class always ends with a soothing savasana and a grounding meditation. You will meet Virginia (or Emily) on the beach in front of El Be! Club. El Be is closed on the street side in the mornings, please walk to an Alameda #7 sign to guide you past a restaurant called Waffle Monkey, and you'll see the class setting up in between Portofino & The Ocean restaurants. We practice yoga on a flat, shaded space on the beach. We always have enough yoga mats (and some extras) and individual brooms for you during class. Also included: We can take photos of you or your group after class! We always take a timelapse of the class that we will email you (within 48 hours) if you like. Finca El Paraiso Farm & Cheese Tour
This is a third generation, small scale, sustainable farm. The animals are pasture-fed and roam freely throughout the day. It is our vision to continue to operate this farm without the use of pesticides or chemical based fertilizers and to maintain a balance of pasturelands and forest. Come and see the cows up close and try your hand at milking. Take a tour of the garden, where you will find banana trees and seasonal fruits and veggies under the care of our family. We also have baby cows, goats, pigs, chickens that are part of the farm operation. MonteVerde is an area with a rich history in dairy production. We invite to try fresh Costa Rican cheese. You can enjoy an authentic meal featuring the freshly made cheese, hand made tortillas, along with other locally sourced and seasonably available items. Coffee'N Jungle Night Tour
The Coffee'N Jungle tour is a blend of Costa Rican coffee culture and nature that includes the following 3 or 4 activities, depending on if is the day or the night tour: 1) COFFEE TOUR Throughout the interesting coffee process, that ranges from baby plant care to the roasting, we reveal simple but important "secrets" that will enable the visitor to choose a good coffee when they return home. Of course, we do not put aside the taste of our great coffee. At this point, we will show our visitors the simplest and easiest way to prepare a delicious cup of coffee. 2) MINI CHOCOLATE TOUR Cocoa has been one of the greatest legacies of our indigenous ancestors, it is the basic component of chocolate which is appreciated throughout the world today because of exquisite taste and important properties. On this tour, we show you the most interesting aspects of the chocolate in a delightful way. 3)MINI SUGAR CANE TOUR A very fun part of our tour because, apart from a brief explanation about this crop, the visitor receives the opportunity to extract the tasty juice in an artisanal way to prepare and taste our delicious cocktail called Jungle Juice. 4) NIGHT TOUR. Adventure and fun in the forest at night. The goal at this stage of the tour is the observation of the nocturnal wildlife (such as frogs, mammals and insects) which normally can not be seen during the day.
Go birdwatching with a licensed guide
We'll start birdwatching at 6:00 AM, where we'll see about 30 different species of birds at an elevation of about 4,500 feet above sea level. Then we'll stop at a cafeteria, where we will have a chance to check some bird feeders as we enjoy a great cup of Costa Rican coffee. After that, we'll move up to Curicancha Reserve where we'll walk through two different life zones including different types of forests (secondary, transitional and primary) plus open areas where we'll be able to see much more variety of birds or Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve to be at a different elevation—about 5,000 feet above sea level—where we'll see much more interesting birds, including the resplendent quetzal, guans, barbets, three-wattled bellbirds, tinamous, and so many others. Typically we would see 60 to 70 different types of birds. Other things to note Bring binoculars, a bird book, hiking shoes, insect repellent, rain gear, and a hat.

Zip Line and ATV Adventure Tour
What will do will be this , first We will start by meeting at the my place at playa Brasilto where we are going to start the activity, once we are there I’m going to start by giving you instruction about how to use the atvs and give you all the safety equipment (helmet, goggles ) afther this we will do a small practice to help you get confidence with the atv driving skill, ones we are ready we will start driving the atvs north from Playa Brasilito, visiting playa flamingo, playa Potrero, playa Penca, along this 3 beaches we will stop to take pictures, afther this we will start driving through the Congo trail, one stop we get to the Congo trail zipline we will do the zipline, (this will take 1.5 hours), afther this we will get into the monkey sanctuary, ( 3 diferent type of monkeys and more) ones we finish this we will start going down the Congo trail and fisnish the tour at Playa Brasilito where we first meet. Other things to note Bring camera, sunscreen, comfortable clothes, bandana or face mask and get ready to have fun. Carry driving license on the tour.
Surf and improve with an instructor!
I'll check out a number of beaches around the Nosara area and devise an epic lesson plan depending on what you're after and where you're at! Our primary aim is to improve your surfing but we also get to see new beautiful places, meet local people, set up camp on the beach, and enjoy life and the waves. I pick spots based on our ability level, your aim, and the conditions in order to have the session you're looking for. We'll be at some of Nosara's more iconic beaches and I guarantee you'll learn a lot, see beautiful scenery, and meet great people in a fun and safe environment. If you want to learn the ropes with basic surf lessons, get deeper with wave mechanics and ocean awareness, or you're advanced and want video analysis and footage, or even if you're just looking for hidden spots to get epic nature shots, I'm here to help! Large group? No worries, I'll have another instructor tag along! We are all certified with years of experience and as fun and relaxed as we are, we take professionalism, safety, and surf coaching seriously. Ride an electric bike to the beach
We’ll begin with a 10-minute orientation on how to use and stay safe on the electric bikes. Riders will take a practice ride on a dirt road with minimal traffic and get familiar with the pedal assist and throttle operation . When all riders are confident and are ready to leave the practice road, we trek along a sandy , rocky , shady beach path.Then we cross the deep sand and ride directly on the hard packed sand next to the waves along Coco Beach. You'll be able to take some breathtaking photos during our breaks and when we stop and watch the wildlife. When riding on the beaches all riders are free to ride anywhere they like but always being careful not to get the bike wet with ocean salt water . Next stop is Ocotal Beach and at low tide we can take a short ride along the volcanic rock ,black sand coastline.We'll take a water, and restroom break at Father Roosters Restaurant then head to our final destination Bahia Pez Vela for a restroom break , fruit snacks and water. Riders can swim, watch wildlife, and rest .Bahia Pez Vela is a secluded off the beaten path ,rarely visited ,magnificent, deep water beach. Most guests comment that they would have never visited this cool beach. Other things to note Please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, swimwear, a camera, and towels. You must wear closed-shoes on the bikes, but you can pack sandals for the beach if you wish.
Learn to Surf with Local Professional!
We'll meet at Pico Bistro (the glass cafe next to the car park) in Tamarindo and head to the sand, where we'll talk about the tide, wave conditions and safety information, before kitting you out with the perfect size surf board (we have a wide range to suit all) and rash guard. You can safely store your belongings at Pico Bistro. Before getting in the water we'll take the boards to the sand (right in-front of the hotel) , where I'll demonstrate the correct technique for paddling, popping up on your board and you'll have a chance to practice until you feel ready to go! We'll jump into the water where I'll be by your side to help, instruct, guide and encourage you as you surf the waves; putting all you learnt on the beach into good practice! I will give you tips as we go, to help you perfect your paddling, positioning and balance on the board and, most importantly, we'll have fun and I aim to get you excited about surfing! For those more experienced surfers we can discuss your goals and help tailor teaching, techniques and tips to help you achieve these. Other things to note 1. Guests should be able to swim 2. Children over 5 years old can participate, however to comply with Air BnB rules they need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the entire activity
Party Bus Sunday Funday - Beach & Pool Crawl from Tamarindo
The Famous Beach and Pool Crawl is Tamarindo's oldest and longest running Bar Crawl! Everyone meets at El Be! Tamarindo beach club every Sunday for a pre-party between 12:00-1:00pm. Once you had a few beers and mingled with fellow crawlers you make your way on an old American school bus and we head on out to the coast. Tunes are blasting and you get to know your neighbors as you drive out of town to explore 3 amazing secret spots. There are pool parties with a DJ, beautiful beaches and amazing cocktails and food, with live entertainment, and you end the epic day watching the sunset with your new friends with a blazing beach bonfire in the background. The party doesn’t stop at sunset! The bus ride back is the best dance party and the highlight of the day. We have room for 50 crawlers each week and often sell out so please ensure to book ahead! Other things to note We do not accept cancelations. Tour is approximately 7hrs. Feel free to bring drinks to drink on the bus, but they cannot be consumed in the bars. This kayak experience is not to be missed. What appears to be normal dark water, will light up WHEN YOU TOUCH IT. As the night grows dark, we'll step into our comfortable kayaks and get ready for a personal encounter with this remarkable phenomenon. We will lead you to the best spots, where sparkling algae accumulates. For a full hour, you will be enchanted by how every stroke of your paddle leaves behind a swirl of light, and fish light up their path like shooting stars in the water. The more YOU splash the water the more bioluminescent light you will experience. You are in command, the algae will NOT glow on its own, you have to ACTIVATE it with YOUR hands or the paddle. Come a bit early to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay and a nice cup of Costa Rican coffee, juice, and some snacks. You'll get a briefing, a suitable life jacket, before we go to the launch area for the kayaks. It will be like going on a cozy family tour, as the maximum group size is 10 people. ATV Tour Beach and Mountain
During the tour we will be driving atvs around beaches, mountains and towns, also we will be visiting viewpoints in the top of the hills to get beautiful pictures, the tour starts at playa Brasilto where you are going to get clear instruction of how to operate the atvs, also you will get all the safetly equipment, after this we will start driving north from Brasilito, diving along the coast line, going around playa Brasilto, playa flamingo and playa Potrero, after this we will visit the top of the hills and enjoy at the viewpoint, from here you will be able to see the best ocean view, all along the way we will be looking for Howler monkeys, after this we will return to playa Brasilto and finish the tour. Hike to Rio Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs
We will meet the guide at the Sloth Watching Trail at 8:00 am, or at your hotel if it is near La Fortuna. (please indicate that you require transportation) First we go to the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall, which is 230 feet high; where if the weather allows it, we will bathe in its crystal clear waters. (if it rains a lot it won't be possible) We will be around an hour and a half in this place; then we will take the minibus to go to the next point and one of the most spectacular, the walk in the tropical forest to the base of the Arenal Volcano, where we will visit the lava flows of the years 1525, 1968 and 2010; Also while we enjoy this beautiful ecological park we will learn about the trees and animals that inhabit this place. (Approximately two hours to the base of the volcano and one hour to the green lagoon). After the descent we will enjoy a bath in the green lagoon of totally clean water and of volcanic formation. Once we have enjoyed it, we will have a traditional lunch. To finish we return to the bus to go to the natural river of hot springs (Rio Tabacón), where we will enjoy a majestic place, we will also put on a volcanic mud mask. For after a great day of adventure and experience, return to La Fortuna around 4 pm.

Our tour begins in Pochote, which is located in the mangrove swamp in the Bay of Tambor, we leave at 5:30 in the afternoon heading to Playa Muertos where we will wait for the night with some delicious fruit snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, when darkness falls. and we go to our meeting point with the most spectacular phenomenon that you can have in your life bioluminescence when you arrive you will have the opportunity touch the water at night and every time you move your hands and feet you will be able to appreciate the millions of sparks around you this phenomenon is the product of bacteria and dinoflalates that produce light, 40 minutes enjoy the phenomenon we return again to Pochote, a small fishing village in the bay of Tambor. Una vez culminado el tour de Café, daremos inicio con la parte más dulce del tour, el delicioso Chocolate. Al igual que el café hablaremos desde la semilla hasta la deliciosa barra de Chocolate, al terminar tendrán la oportunidad de degustar varios tipos de chocolate como el Chocolate Oscuro, Chocolate con Leche y Chocolate Blanco. Para finalizar nuestra actividad visitaremos el Trapiche donde extraeremos el jugo de la Caña de Azúcar para degustar su dulce jugo. Nuestra infraestructura le permitirá realizar el tour con toda comodidad, las familias con niños que necesiten llevar su coche para bebés o personas con alguna limitación física no tendrá inconvenientes para caminar con andadera, muletas o silla de ruedas. Otros aspectos destacables Antes de realizar la actividad deberán registrarse en la oficina ubicada en la entrada a la propiedad. Todo cliente debe portar mascarilla o careta para ser atendidos, de lo contrario no podrán realizar la actividad. Se recomienda traer alcohol en gel para las manos.

Adventure and fun in the forest at night.
