This bungalow has been in my family since 1963. When a Cape Bretoner says 'bungalow' we are referring to what the rest of the world knows as a cottage. If you are looking for a simple place on the water where you can relax, this is the place for you. If you are looking for the Ritz, keep looking. The bungalow is an old building that has been added on to many times so the rooms are small. It is not much but my family loved it and I want to share it with others who will appreciate it's simplicity.

The tiny house has a heat pump for both AC for the hot summer days and heat for the cooler fall evenings. Enjoy an evening camp fire at the custom fire pit,Hearts Desire is the perfect getaway! This year we are offering fishing rods and tackle and two paddle boards that guests can use to explore the Mira River.

Our home sits (approx.) 25 min from downtown Sydney and is centrally located for day trips around Cape Breton including Baddeck, Louisbourg, Cabot Trail, and Inverness. Local: the Lakes Golf Club and Ben Eoin Marina - each 15 min by car or a 5 min boat ride across the lake. Grocery and liquor stores - each 7 min by car.
