Blue Hill Peninsula cottage in the center of downeast Maine - Blue Hill, Castine, Camden hills, The Wooden Boat School, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park! The house itself is a quiet, family and couples-friendly cottage with a lovely hike through the woods down to our sandy beach on the Salt Pond. Kayaks (with PFDs) and bicycles are available to rent at the nearby Activity center in Blue Hill and we can provide a basic orientation to the property and nearby waters and exploring our outdoors.

There's plenty of space to wander or lounge around the house and its many porches. The house is large! There are 5 actual bedrooms and several living spaces. A dine-in kitchen with a 48-inch professional Viking Range and dual ovens, a separate dining area, a sitting area and a den/media room. There's also a separate, but included, in-law suite.

Our cabin is close to Blue Hill, a ten minute drive. Its a very quiet and secluded spot right on the edge of the Salt Pond. There is usually a very pleasant afternoon ocean breeze. The bird life is amazing. Blue Hill is close to both Acadia National Park and Deer Isle. Blue Hill has restaurants, live theatre, art galleries and a chamber music festival. There are 2 kayaks and a rowing dingy available to use if you first sign the liability waiver. There is a swim dock with a ladder.
