Bosquecito Preserve - birder's retreat on the Rio
This light and bright ranch-style house sits on 25 acres with the Rio Grande as the western boundary. It is a great location for wildlife observations, hiking, stargazing, and general exploring of miles of adjacent public lands. Bosque del Apache NWR is about 20 minutes south, San Antonio is nearby, and Socorro is 25 minutes north for shopping. Birding is great here. It's quiet and peaceful, with plenty of room to spread out. There is basic wifi at the house limited to browsing and email.

dog-friendly casita near amazing wildlife refuge
Lazy Dog is conveniently located less than 2 miles from the Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge. Our casita is a secluded haven, dog-friendly with a fenced-in yard and private garden. We are surrounded by miles of off-road paths for meditative quiet walks and easy bike rides, yet near enough to the Chupadera Mountain trails for the more adventurous hiker. Our spectacular sunsets are rivaled only by our memorable sunrises - both prime times to witness the native wildlife and bird migrations.
