Casablanca Valley boutique Winery Tour
We'll leave Santiago around 9 am and take a pretty , 75 mins drive to the Casablanca Valley, previously famous mainly for its' whites but now producing increasingly amazing reds as well. We'll avoid the large, commercial, touristy producers and concentrate exclusively on boutique wineries with - it goes without saying - fantastic wines and a special, intimate vibe. Depending on the availability that day, we'll visit any two of the best, special, small producers in the valley, each with their own distinct and contrasting styles of wine. A lunch stop is not included in the schedule or price but can be arranged if all participants are up for it (from an empanada to a sit-down lunch) and if planned in advance. My aim is for the trip to be laid back, entertaining and informative, hopefully as if travelling with a friend. I speak native-level English, French and Spanish. Please note that due to some wineries still being closed to tourism because to the pandemic (or in some cases just on certains days), I ENCOURAGE INQUIRIES BEFORE GUESTS ACTUALLY BOOK, TO GIVE ME TIME TO CHECK WINERY AVAILABILITY BEFOREHAND and avoid having to reschedule in the event of unavailability on any given day. In principle the experience is limited to 3 guests for comfort reasons but larger groups (traveling together) can be accomodated. Please contact me with any doubts for for further information!

We will cook the ingredients of the empanada, and we will teach you how to organize the elements to fill them, we will work the dough, cut it and make the classic shapes, then we will heat the oven to the right temperature and bake them until they are golden brown. We will also make the delicious pebre that accompanies them, and finally we will sit at the table to taste the traditional Chilean Empanada de Pino con Pebre. Ask me if you have any special needs, and we will see how we can adapt to you. We love to share with people from different cultures and we will be happy to share with you, whoever you are.

Hike The Andes right next to the city
I will drive us to the entrance of the hill, at the beginning of the trail. Once there, I'll give a quick briefing about the hill and the trail, then we start hiking. We will do everything at your own pace. Our goal is to enjoy the landscape, get away from the city, get some exercise, have a good talk and have fun. Since I'm a tourism professional, I can also give you very good tips about the things you could check out during your stay. There are no rules or demands. We will enjoy the best hill of Santiago anyway we want. After a 40 minutes hike (more or less), we will reach the summit, which is at 1335 MAMSL. We will stay at the summit for a while. I'll show you the good spots for pictures, and we are going to rest and have some snacks. Then - whenever you are ready - we will start the hike down. After getting to the bottom, I'll drive you to the drop-off point in Los Dominicos metro station, where you will be able to take a walk through the national Monument called "Pueblo Los Dominicos" before taking the subway back. I'm flexible with a starting time as well, we can do it early in the morning or later afternoon, depends on your preferences.
Relaxing and adventurous volcanic Hot Springs at the Andes
I'll show you the most beautiful side of the Andean mountain range in the central zone. You will feel that you are in Patagonia itself, but only 2 hours away from the capital. The people and the culture that we will meet along the way, will make this experience a poetry in your travel story. We will pick you up early in Santiago. If you want, we can stop for you to grab traditional empanadas and coffee at the start of Cajon del Maipo in the Andes mountainous region, where there are 4 active volcanoes, spectacular rivers, waterfalls that come from the incredible heights, peaks of more than 8000 meters above sea level, more than 500 glaciers, hot springs, unforgettable clear southern skies, and a mountain culture that tells a unique story of identity. I will tell you the history since the first Germans arrived recognizing valuable minerals. The history of the train that wonderfully crossed these mountains, about the ecological constructions and the native fauna and flora. The highlight of our experience is at the hot springs of San Jose mega-volcano, where you will be amazed by 7 terrace-shaped hot pools, an impressive natural formation a few km from the border with Argentina. After the submerged therapy at the hot springs, we meet around a delicious generous picnic table at a stone artesanal store, called La Magia del KM 71, and taste our own Chilean wine.

Tour patrimonial del Barrio Matta Sur
Our tour will begin at Matta Metro station, Just 10 minutes from the city historical center, where we will enter the area of Barrio Matta Sur, a working class neighborhood which still presents the lovely easy paced life of the early 20th century suburbs. None of the sights are signed, neither are easy to spot, so, it is certainly a truly local experience! The tour will take through marvelous, yet classic constructions of the Barrio Matta Sur, including their traditional "citès", old tramway vestiges and amazing gardens all hidden between the streets of what it was for many years the southernmost part of the city. Along our tour, we will visit some spots that will give you a full insight of this area's lifestyle, including a local bakery, our local farmers market (TUESDAYS ONLY) and a funky vintage inspired restaurant for a classic chilean homemade lunch. Together with some other exciting spots that will simply blow your mind! Important: The vintage restaurant may not provide solutions to all dietary restrictions as they work on a daily, rotating menu. We suggest to be part of our experience on tuesdays, as there is a local farmers market which is open only that day and will give a full local insight to this experience.
