STOP PRESS!! THE 2023 TOUR DE FRANCE 2023 will be passing close to our gîte on Stage 9 on Sunday 9th July. Set in the heart of the Haute-Vienne countryside the gite is 20 minutes from Le lac de Vassivière or the town of Treignac, both favourite days out for families with beaches, swimming, sailing, walking and cycling (plus all facilities). Three minutes walk from the gite is la rivière Vienne for riverside picnicking and bathing - but cycling and walking starts from the gite's front door.

You will sleep in the old lampstore of the train station of Pérols sur Vézère. You will have a view of our garden, the sheep certainly, the chickens as well as the rails. These small regional trains stop 10 times a day and do not run during the night. This small habitat has been fully renovated with reclaimed materials. The stone walls are original and therefore restored with cement and lime mortar.
