Pierogi Power Cooking Class
Our culinary meeting takes place in Salwator, one of Krakow's prettiest and most historical areas, not far from the Old Town – about 12 min by tram and 10 by taxi. Our cooking class will start with a welcome drink (tea and coffee) in the kitchen, followed by putting on aprons (which I provide) and washing our hands (disinfectant is also provided). I will then give a very brief introduction to the history of Polish cuisine in general and the pierogi in particular. Then, together we’ll prepare the dough and the filling together, learning the secrets of making that special flavour. Once ready with these, we’ll fill the dough parcels with the filling and make the pierogi. Each participant will have their own board to prepare these dumplings, and I am on hand to assist at every stage. Once prepared, we’ll start cooking the pierogi and… start eating them! There will be plenty to go around, and no-one will be left hungry. Finally, we’ll share some of my home-made cheesecake with salty caramel sauce, together with fresh coffee or tea.
TOURS IN THE LONGEST CAVE OF BUDAPEST
We created this tour to show a very unique place for those who are ready to make efforts off the beaten track! We will visit a natural labyrinth system – a 3 dimensional playground, where we will often have to clamber up steep walls and creep through narrow passages. Prepare yourself for something active! - We will meet up near the cave (30-45 minutes from the city by bus, still in the residential Budapest) - You can change your clothes at the changing room, and we will give you the necessary equipment. - We will spend 2,5-3 hours under the ground. We will discover a small part of a 30 km long multi-level labyrinth system. As the cave is practically a maze with a network of passages, we can always find the path which fits your level of fitness. In means that we can do a relatively easy tour (still challenging), or an „adrenaline-pumping” tour - it’s up to you! - The tour is very interactive with a friendly atmosphere and English-speaking expert hosts. - It’s a perfect occasion to meet new people and maybe make new frindships - as there will be situations where cooperation makes your way easier. - After the tour you can chill at the moody beer terrace of the cave. Other things to note This is NOT an outdoor experience, it doesn't depend on the weather. Age limit: 10-55 years. No prior experience of caving needed. It is an active tour so we don't suggest it to very overweight people
TasteVodka - Polish Vodka Tasting Tour
We kick things off at the first bar with a big spread of Polish style tapas. Think fresh crusty breads, tasty cured meats, smoked and salted mountain cheeses. With the food you’ll be sampling two incredible and historic Polish clear vodkas while taking our crash course in vodka history, production and culture. There's lots of funny stories and we keep the history short and sweet although us guides will be more than happy to go into more detail throughout the tour. We’ll then take you on an adventure through the cobblestone streets of Kraków’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town to explore the city’s hidden vodka bars and cafes. You’ll step back in time through the doors of a communist era shot bar, explore one of Europe’s only home-made flavoured vodka cafes and get cosy in a hole-in-the wall candlelit vodka bar boasting more than one-hundred varieties. The flavoured vodkas really are mind-blowingly good and there's more than two-hundred varieties stocked by the bars on the tour. At the end of the tour we'll be stopping off to check out the city’s best Pierogi in our favourite foodie joint, perfect to soak up all the vodka and make sure you're not too wobbly on your feet :) Other things to note Please do not arrive intoxicated. It is illegal for you to be served. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and cannot participate in the consumption of alcohol on the tour.

Handcraft a Custom Leather Belt
Relate to Krakow's leather tradition, crafting a leather belt. Together with me, you will create a belt combining all components by yourself. Exciting! So, where do we start? You cut the leather, you edge and groove, cut and skive, punch the holes, and make a belt loop. At this point, we have a lot of leather edge scraps around the table and starting to feel like craftspeople. Now we put on the hardware, make riveting, and add the buckle. Then, you emboss your initials on the belt. Some final touches...kaboom! You just made an one-of-a-kind, personalized belt! There's nothing better than the feeling of making your very own personal leather item that you'll love to use and last you for decades, aging uniquely over the years. This workshop is great for a couple or small groups of 2-4 people. No prior knowledge is needed! You'll be fully guided throughout the class and bring home your own creations.

The first part of your trip is a 2-hour visit to the Auschwitz I camp to see the permanent exhibition in the former prisoners' barracks. See remnants of the crematories, the unloading ramp, remaining barracks and the monument dedicated to the last victims of the camp.
WALK BENEATH THE CITY: EASY CAVE TOUR
Spending the day cave-exploring is one of the lesser known ways to enjoy Budapest. We designed this tour for those who want something more active and less touristic than museums and ruin pubs. This walk is a relaxed way to visit two caves, in addition we will enter into sections which are closed from other tourists. Join us if you are a natural history lover, if you travel with your adventure-seeker kids, or if you’re just looking for a getaway from the city traffic. - We will visit two caves. The tour takes 2,5-3 hours. We will meet up at Szemlő-hegyi Cave. We will spend 50 minutes there and then take a 10 minute walk to Pál-völgyi Cave, where we will do an hour-long tour. Both caves have safe pathways and lighting. - The first cave is called the ”underground flower garden” of Budapest because of its floriform mineral concretions, peastones, cauliflowers and gypsum crystals. - Our second site is a labyrinth of narrow passages and hollow spaces. We will enter the petrified world of fabular stalactites and stalagmites and amazing rock-formations. You will need to be ready to climb some stairs: we will climb more than 400 stairs and a 7 meter long ladder. Other things to note Note that these caves can also be visited on a lower price by joining the regular Hungarian guided tours. „Walk beneath the city” is a private tour for small groups with detailed English explanation.
Pierogi Cooking Class with Market Shopping and Local Snacks
You'll be welcomed into my kitchen to master the typical Polish skill - PIEROGI making. I will be pleased to introduce you to the most famous and delicious Polish dish which is pierogi (dumplings). First, we will meet in Kraków's Old Town and walk through the oldest operating marketplace in town. It is a place to be, not only because of the great amount of fresh, local products but also because of its vibrant and unique atmosphere with some great hidden gems! After we buy what we need the most (and also what we can't help but try - so fresh and tasty!) we will have a short walk to my apartment. There you'll be treated to some local snacks and drinks and we will start cooking. We will go through the whole process of pierogi making, from making the dough, preparing the filling and creating special shapes of the dough, and finally eating! Primarily we will prepare pierogi with the most known filling - fresh cottage cheese, potatoes, and caramelized onions. During the experience, I will share my knowledge of Kraków, Poland, and polish culinary traditions. I will give you my personal recommendations of what to try while visiting Kraków and give you some hints of what to do and where to go to feel like a true local. The main goal of the experience? Food hedonism! (Please note that on Sundays the market is closed but instead I'm preparing some extra treats! Go ahead & ask me!)
