The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views as the chalet elevation is 3,383 feet (Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink and rejuvenate your soul. NO four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet EXCEPT possibly in the winter months. A hidden grassy knoll overlooking enchanting views, and surrounded by apple trees and trails. This is primitive camping, so there's no bathroom/shower, just you and nature. It's a 5-10 minute uphill walk from parking unless you have 4 wheel drive. This site is very private, but is also part of Snaggy Mountain, a 67 acre music/arts based farm, and we all cherish the peace and quiet of the night here, so there is NO PARTYING OR LOUD NOISES.
