Even before you enter the gate the Llamas will be checking you out, the goats will cry out a welcome. When you enter their corral you might be wary of their size, and you will be amazed at their speed as they run around to show off their long strides. After they run for you, we will show you how to hold the llama pellets in your hand as the llamas use their oddly grippy lips to pick up the pellets. The llamas love the pellets and they will take turns visiting each feeder. Once they have eaten all the pellets, we spread some hay for the llamas to graze on and everything becomes peaceful and silent. You hear the wind in the trees, the call of the quail, the gentle sound of hay being mashed into cud. When you look up you notice you are surrounded by the desert, the Sawtooth and Joshua Tree mountains to the South, the ancient volcanic Black Mesa to the West, and Johnson valley stretching endlessly North. Throughout this experience your hosts will educate you on all things llama, and snap pictures of you so you can share this magic with friends, family, and followers. Experience last about an hour. This is a private, hosted experience for a total of 2 hours. You should be an outdoor enthusiast for this experience. This is not a spa. We meet at the nursery greenhouse where we grow desert plants. Then take a short walk through the desert, perhaps encountering some wildlife on our way to a small private water feature where you will experience natural hot springs from deep within the San Andreas fault. Conversation will include how the hot springs occur, local wildlife, plants, geographic points of interest, and other interesting information regarding the sanctuary and surrounding areas. Then Reset and connect with Mother Earth as Panoramic desert views enhance this meditative western sunset. This is a private and primitive Off grid ritual. There's no better way to experience the scenic views of the High-Desert than being up on the rocks. We provide customized rock climbing trips in Joshua Tree National Park from first time beginners to experienced climbers. Rick Picar or possibly Stephen Fredericks and Tiowa Reynolds will meet at Quail Springs Picnic Area BACK parking lot (by the BATHROOMS) in Joshua Tree National Park, where we will outfit you with a harness, helmet and rock climbing shoes. Your Guide, will provide you an overview of the trip then select a climbing location best suited to match your experience and ability. Once we are all done with that, we will stay at Quail Springs Picnic Area or caravan deeper into the Park. When we get to the climbing site, we will teach you how to belay a climber and manage the climbing rope. You will also learn safety checks and verbal commands used in rock climbing. Depending on the size of your group, we can add rappelling to your trip. When you book a rock climbing adventure, you will experience the world-class climbing in Joshua Tree National Park. Prepare yourself for fantastic climbing, great company and an awesome adventure! Other things to note Private Instruction: We do not mix groups! Our desert journey will begin with a Llama greet and treat at the ranch. Our fabulous llama quartet will gather around to say hello. At first you will be astounded at their size and strangeness, but as I have seen time and time again, your reservations begin to melt away and our beautiful and majestic llamas will charm you with their gregariousness, and curiosity. One of our Llama's will be harnessed and ready to go on our 2 mile desert walk, this usually takes anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes long. The rest the time we will Back in the corral with all four llamas and the two goats for you to have some more together time back in the corral with all four llamas and the two goats. Vast open views of our scenic desert include Joshua Tree mountain range, Johnson Valley, and the ancient Black Mesa. As you walk with Llama, you will be amazed at the variety of plants and creatures you will see. From the prehistoric Creosote, and the majestic Joshua Trees, cuddly teddy bear cactus, to the miner's lettuce, Yucca fruit and other seasonal edible desert plants, our Master gardener desert docent, and Lllama extraordinaire will unlock the ancient mysteries of the desert for you. Majestic open skies are the back drop for this experience; they never disappoint. For optimum experience we do our tours In cooler temps 1.5-2 hours. NOTE: you must be 18 yrs or older. As you drive into the refuge, you will be immersed into a magical setting, surrounded by hundreds of trees and desert animals roaming freely. Being able to observe these animals in their natural habitat will be an experience you won't forget. You can also sit right next to a tortoise & watch the bunnies & squirrels run & play. A desert coyote may roam in for a drink of water and sit in the shade of over 200 pine trees planted from seeds over 25 years ago. Your hostess is very knowledgeable about the surrounding desert and animal species. This is an experience that is wonderful for adults & kids!! However, A Special Note About Young Children: When the tortoises are out of hibernation in the summer, this is a more engaging activity for young children. When the tortoises are hibernating in the winter, the bulk of this educational Experience is watching the wildlife activity. The start time for this Experience changes. On warm summer days, the tortoises eat early. Morning visits are the best to see animal activity. Ravens, however, talk to you all day long. This 2-hour experience allows each guest to pick from a variety of pre-made pots. Horsehair "Raku" during the experience uses a technique of applying horsehair, feathers, and/or sawdust to red hot pots. The carbon in these items transfer suddenly to the pot and are permanent. This method is eye-popping and amazing. Any age can do it. I recommend children be at least 10 and able to be respectful to other guests. I am sometimes a little corny, but very capable of sharing the How-To's, mixed with some history and other uses of clay. I am very good at coaching, and helping guest achieve a decorated raku pot that they are excited to take home. This is the kind of experience that will be fondly remembered for a lifetime.

This allows us to see the sky the way our ancestors would have before light pollution. Utilizing this technology allows us to see thousands and thousands of stars no longer visible with our naked eye. The moment you put these binoculars up to your eyes you will be transported to another time. Our guests are immediately blown away by the experience! Spend a fun night stargazing. Hearing fascinating stories of how our ancestors used the night sky and regaining our connection to the importance of the stars. Our tours were previously conducted in Sedona, AZ and we are excited to bring our tours to the amazing California desert and world renowned Joshua Tree. We are able to see all the beauty the night sky has to offer because we utilize military grade Night Vision Goggles which allow you to see the stars as if you've traveled back to a time with no light pollution. We will connect with the spirit of cacao in a sacred ritual with the intention to open our hearts and connect to our higher selves. Upon arrival to our sacred space, you will be welcomed by Danny & Jael to settle in for your experience. We will start by talking about Cacao and the ceremony. We will then do an energy-release exercise followed by a sage cleansing. We will set our intention for the ceremony and open our sacred medicine space by calling on the elements. We will then proceed to ground ourselves by doing shamanic breathwork and flow into a sound healing journey. Once we come out of sound healing we will serve the Cacao. We will infuse the Cacao as a group with our love and drink together as a tribe. While drinking we will share and talk about our experiences.
