Indulge in the tranquility of this detached studio guesthouse. The suite features an exclusive entrance, a soothing color scheme with wood finishes, an open-plan living area, mid-century furnishings, and a shared backyard patio space. Our backyard bungalow is a fully furnished, one room studio with full bathroom. There is no kitchen. We have a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, and mini fridge in the bungalow for our guests. If you need something in particular during your stay, please let us know. We will try to be as accommodating as possible. Guests have access to entire bungalow, accessible via private gated entrance. The main house is also an Airbnb listing, and has access to the backyard as well. Please note: since guests will enter the property via a driveway gate, there might at times be a car in the driveway. Hosts are accessible via Airbnb app, text, or by knocking on our door! We respect your privacy and will be only as available as you want us to be. We live next door if you need us. We are in downtown San Jose so you might hear city sounds: neighbors, sirens, trains, music, etc. On rare occasion, our neighbors can be noisy. We have chickens, and they occasionally squawk in the morning. Typically though, we find our home and backyard to be enjoyable, tranquil spaces. We're located in the Hensley Historic District, the largest concentration of Victorian homes in the area and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's easy to walk or bike to downtown or Japantown from our house. Ford GoShare bike rental stations are located a block away. We're a close walk to either the St. James or Japantown/Ayers VTA Light Rail stations, too. Maps and transit info are available inside the bungalow for our guests. We have chickens and they are typically pretty quiet, but sometimes they do start squawking. If this happens it is usually in the morning when they are laying eggs and it doesn't last long.

This secluded cottage has a beautiful view of the city lights & private entrance. Just a short drive to Downtown San Jose, SAP Center and Levi Stadium. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and activities. It is located in between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. There are also many hiking trails less than a mile away from the cottage. This cozy cottage is great for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. It includes a queen bed that fits 2 people and a sofa bed.
